Chapter 48: Happy family? ll

"Mama I'm done, Lily is cute" she says playfully before grabbing Elena's hand and pulling her along behind them outside the mansion to the street corner where they could see the colorful truck parked.

As they approached the truck, Damien couldn't help but think all the times he used to get ice cream as a child with his own parents. He had always loved getting lost in the flavors and textures of each scoop – it was like a momentary escape from reality.

But now he had Elena and Lily by his side – two people who made every moment worth living for. He glanced over at Elena who caught his gaze and smiled back at him coyly, making his heart skip a beat.

"What flavors do you want?" Damien asked Lily as they reached the front of the line.

Lily looked up at him with wide eyes before pointing excitedly at every flavor in sight. "I want them all!" she exclaimed happily.
