Failure.

This was the exact word to perfectly define John's life, a boy who had achieved nothing throughout his miserable existence.

His mother died when he was still a small child and his father spent his time traveling, to the point that she didn't know about him to this day.

Like every normal child, he went to school, but as soon as he stopped receiving money from his father, that stopped him from continuing to go to class.

Since he was already of a certain age, John began to live on his own, doing work on the street to earn a minimum of money.

Today he was a humble fisherman: he left the port with his boat, caught fishes and sold it to seafood companies or fish farms.

"Ah..." John sighed tiredly starting his routine. He was starting the boat to leave the port and go to the sea, it was just dawn.

After a few hours sailing, he reached his fate and cast the nets into the sea. After a while, the nets were filled with quite a few fish.

John stretched the nets and with some difficulty put it back on the boat, ready to return to the port.

However, halfway there John ran into an incredible storm, "This is disastrous" he muttered under his breath trying to hold on.

John did everything he could to hold on, but he couldn't stop himself from falling off the boat and causing it to collapse.

The wind was hellish, the waves increasingly gigantic, John was doing what he could by waving his arms and legs, but no...

He couldn't take it anymore. The waves were dragging him harder and harder. His mind told him to give up, but his body didn't.

'I haven't achieved anything in this life, no one loves me, why do I keep fighting?' John thought as he swam towards the boat.

But suddenly, a large wave emerged pushing him away. His head crashed hard against the boat, staining the area red.

John fell unconscious after the strong blow, submerging into the depths of the sea, being forgotten...

Everything felt calm, for the first time in his life John felt his shoulders free of all burden.

'So this is what it feels like to die, I didn't think it was so relaxing' John thought, closing his eyes. He was in a void, floating above it.

But suddenly, a great white light surrounded him. John never thought he would go to heaven, he didn't believe he had done any good to go to such a place.

"Sokka, Sokka wake up!"

John felt his body being roughly shaken. When he opened his eyes he saw a brunette girl with blue eyes, just as I brought her to him, shaking him.

Then, he spat water out of his mouth, as if he had been drowned, and the girl hugged him while he shed some tears.

"Thank goodness you're okay Sokka, I thought I lost you!" The girl exclaimed with a smile, separating herself from him.

"Sokka?" John wondered until he received a strong wave of information that gave him a small headache.

"Argh" he groaned at that pain and looked straight at the girl, her name came to mind, "Katara? I-I'm fine, don't worry"

"Thank goodness, now rest for a while" Katara smiled as she stood up, "Then I'll come check on you, rest!"

"Okay" the boy nodded with a smile.
