Chapter 117: Stars

The noise died down the moment Arin arrived. As with the others, she wore white robes and a half cape. A hair ornament glinted at the side of her head—a jeweled rose set on top of a golden pin. She gracefully strutted toward the table, donning a sweet smile like she hadn't just made the Six Guardians wait for nearly an hour. Before pulling the chair reserved for her, she gave me a wink. 

As though his work here was done, Ciri walked satisfyingly back to his own seat. 

"My, what is this thick silence?" Arin said, her voice laced with pleasantry. "Did I miss anything?"

"Nothing much, Lady Arin," Ciri said, clearly still amused. "You certainly took your sweet time."

"Like I always do," Arin drawled, adding a little bit of chuckle in the end.
