Chapter 39: Lady Arin of the Crystal Palace

I'd fallen for it. It was not the explanation I was hoping for. I listened to Arin talk about how being a Light Mage technically 'can't' hurt me, but it still could cause effects on my skin. 

"Have you heard of ultraviolet rays?"

"Your skin is not used to being under the sun for long periods of time, it caused quite a trauma to your cells."

"Look at these freckles, by Floris!" 

In the end, I let her words into one ear and out the other. I truly couldn't be bothered to care. 

Arin managed to drag me into the bathing chamber. That was after she stripped me bare of course, and she did not even bat an eyelash. I supposed she was already used to this type of stuff.
