Wei Meiling, twin sister to Wei Wuxian, finds herself unexpectedly waking up in a world teeming with divine beings and celestial politics alone after aiding her brother in destroying the Yin Tiger Tally. Determined to survive, she disguises herself as a man and takes on her brother's name, Wei Ying. After encountering the gentle and compassionate Xie Lian, they form an unlikely bond, leading her to join him on his journey to fulfill prayers and unintentionally unearth ancient plots and secrets hidden in the depths of history. Accompanied by their new companion, San Lang, Wei Meiling subtly endeavors to bring the two closer, sensing the budding attraction between them. However, Xie Lian's not so keen on leaving her and with Hua Cheng's fascination with her demonic cultivation this poses a challenge as the two slowly unravel her secrets while the three find themselves entangled in a web of betrayal that threatens to tear apart the fabric of the heavens themselves.
