Chapter 1: Chapter 1 The Obsession
(At the Shie Hassaikai Headquarters in the Bathroom).
Hearing the water dripping from the sink. Dripping over and over and over the same thing every single day and night the water never stops dripping. Is it because he enjoys the sounds? Who knows for sure?
Overhaul: ...
Looking over to the broken glass mirror since he banged his head over and over again trying to not remember the day when that hero took Eri his prized possession. The little girl who could rewind quirks.
Overhaul: Eri where are you?
Breathing heavily while his head was bleeding out with blood some of the shattered glass was still on his wound.
Overhaul: That's right I'm alone now...
Remembering the rest of his comrades leaving him but that's all a blank. What happened during the blackout once he lost everything? Losing Eri caused him to go insane. Looking at the mirror just to see a shattered reflection.
A twisted smile appears on his face as the body of a woman who has been killed brutally to the point of no recognition but for some reason, the woman's hair is almost the same as Eri's. The body of the woman falls on the floor bleeding out. Her organs were ripped out, especially her eyes.
Overhaul: I'm not crazy I'm still sane I'm still here.
Mumbles it to himself over and over again while looking at his shattered reflection. He wonders whether he should go out and about or stay at the Shie Hassaikai. He hasn't used his quirk for a while now or he would use it ever again due to the memories. Walking out of the bathroom he turns on the lights just to see the dead bodies of his former comrades who he used from back then. Each body was disfigured to the point of no recognition.
Overhaul: Everyone is still resting up from a mission I see.
Walking into the room greeting his old comrades who fought during the raid.
Overhaul: The boss would be very pleased to hear about this I have to report it to him.
About to go but remember that he's no longer with him since a deal was made by the heroes. They take Eri and his boss for his freedom.
Overhaul: T-That's right Boss isn't here anymore it's just me...
Tearing up slightly as he kneels crying out due to the failures and the loss of a loved one.
Hearing footsteps coming into the room looking up slightly to see Chrono.
Chrono: The bodies are still here huh? You haven't gotten rid of them. If the police come tomorrow and see this then we both are going to prison!
Looks at him angrily yet bothered by the dead bodies that are still in the room.
Overhaul: They're still alive I see them breathing.
Getting up and goes around his younger brother.
Overhaul: See!
Moving his body like it was a puppet trying so desperately to prove a point of his comrades being alive.
Chrono: Go outside and let me handle this.
(In his mind).
"He's turning crazy by the second but I don't know how long am I supposed to keep him at bay."
(Out of his mind).
Overhaul: Why won't you believe me? They're alive see!
Stands one of the dead bodies up as he lets them go unfortunately the bodies don't remain standing they all fall to the floor bleeding out as flies go around the rotting bodies.
Overhaul: Maybe you're right I should go outside...
Slowly walking away from the dead bodies and towards the door passing up Chrono. Remaining silent not saying a word as he headed outside.
Chrono: ...
Hearing the door closing right behind him as he sighs slightly wondering what should he do when Overhaul comes back.
Chrono: What should I do?
Looking at the dead bodies on the floor which made it sick to his stomach. He never thought his friend would fall to the deep end.
(Meanwhile outside of the Shie Hassaikai).
Hearing thunderstorms up in the sky singling that it's about to rain.
Overhaul: I should take a walk...
(At the hero agency almost near the Shie Hassaikai).
Hearing thunderstorms while coming out of the Agency.
Alice: Let's do our best to keep the world a safer place!
Looks at her fellow sidekicks with a smile as she strikes a pose like a hero who just won a battle.
Alice: So what are we investigating today?
Looks at one of her female sidekicks.
Sakura: There's been reports about women going missing in the streets. For some, they all bear a resemblance to you, Alice.
Shows her the pictures of the missing woman who looks like her.
Alice: Strange I wonder why is that?
Looks at the file to see the pictures of the missing women.
(In her mind).
"Let me guess the girl broke up with the prep and now he's on a rampage it's always the same with men."
(Out of her mind).
Sakura: There's a Yakuza place not too far from here so do you want to check it out?
Looks at her calmly wondering if she wants to check it out.
Alice: Sure since the reports say that the kidnapping is around here at night time plus it's always around this area. I'm just surprised that our agency hasn't picked this up yet.
Looks at her sidekicks as they start walking and patrolling the area. Heading towards the Shie Hassaikai.
(At the Shie Hassaikai at the entrance).
Overhaul: ...
Slowly opens up the gate but stops after a certain memory appears in his mind. Remembering the police and the heroes coming crashing into the gate.
Overhaul: Damn memories...
Clutching his head tightly making himself bleed by using his quirk but stopped after hearing talking coming from the outside of the gate which snapped him out of it. The voices sounded like female voices which made him startled yet wonder who was on the other side of the gate. Slowly opening the gate just to see a female that has similarities to Eri. The small girl who got away. His eyes widen looking at the woman.
Overhaul: ...
Staying quiet looking at the woman who looked like Eri he couldn't believe his eyes.
Alice: Oh wow hi there any way I don't want to take much of your time?
(In her mind).
"I didn't expect him to come out so it's the second in command of the Shie Hassaikai I don't think he's responsible for this crime but maybe he has seen something."
(Out of her mind).
Alice: Anyway down to business I was wondering if you've seen these women around in this area.
Showing him the pictures of the women who were missing as they all had a resemblance to each other.
Overhaul: I haven't seen them lately since I never go out this late.
Looking at the woman calmly yet his eyes twitch slightly trying to control his behavior.
Alice: Oh I see...
Looks up slightly to see the head wound it looks like it's been self-inflicted.
(In her mind).
"Has he been hurting himself wait why would he do such a thing?"
Already feel uneasy being around him even though he hasn't done anything yet.
(Out of her mind).
Sakura: You should check that head wound of yours it will get infected if it doesn't get checked out.
Looks at him trying to convince him to head to the hospital that's kinda nearby.
Alice: I think we should go sorry for wasting your time.
Bowing down to him she immediately walked away along with her sidekicks. Since the awful sense of dread lurks within him.
(In her mind).
"Is he the one who kidnapped these women?"
Remembering the glare coming from him is like he had seen her before which made it more terrifying just by thinking about it. Deep down she believes he's the reason why the women have gone missing but that's just a hunch with no proof.
"I hope my intuition is wrong."
(Out of her mind).
Looking back slightly heading back to her Agency. Hearing thunderstorms getting louder as rain begins to fall from the sky.
(At the Shie Hassaikai Gate).
Overhaul: That was Eri... I found Eri...
Looking up at the sky as rain falls. A twisted smile appears even though it is right behind his black face mask.
Overhaul: Eri I'm coming for you...
