Adaline waited for him to come back like he had promised her to. He rarely ever broke his promises and that was something Xavier had associated with since the very beginning.

He might be a little late, but he was going to be here at the end of the day.

Cassandra stayed with her and Ashlynn and had joined them by the end of the day. 

She felt him near them before he opened the doors and came inside. without looking anywhere else, Xavier walked towards her before kneeling down and placing his head on her lap. 

"Are you alright, my love?" he whispered against her stomach and she nodded before running her fingers through his hair. 

"You?" 

"Now, I am." He answered.

It was only a few moments of peace that he was going to get before the storm would also only hear. The three of the women wanted answers and since all of them were staying in the room, Xavier was the only one who could provide them.
