I really love to read historical novels as I am also writing one, but it starts in 300BC. Medieval England is a great settings and a lot of interesting things happened in that time. I advise you to watch Netflix's movie "The King". It shows 1400s, you can get some ideas from there about medieval period. I can't read this right now, but I'll be marking it in my library. Best of luck

Great novel. The mc is an idealist. He is extremely humble yet a little naive and inexperience. The mc matures a little however he needs alot more experience and maturity to reach what he wants to achieve. Cant wait to see if the mcs way of thinking will change as he realizes not everything he wants can possibly be achieved in a war torn country where strength this required for survival. The novel is alot better than 98% of the crap other kingdom building authors create.
So I have to admit I read only up to chapter 15 and all what Iโm going to say now is purely based on the little what I have read. But at this point I think I will drop this light novel for the reasons as followed 1) I have problems to connect to the main character as well as the rest of the crew. This is mainly due to the fact that none of them really seems to have any profile whatsoever. All is great and all are nice and everything is perfect. There are basically no real inner conflicts. 2) The world building is non existing. You are in some country called England that is purely fictional as obviously there are banana trees and maybe even crocodiles existing in that area. But this is not actually the worst part as I could live with that. The real problem is that the structure of the world isnโt either explained or plays any role for any of the characters... as obviously there is no real connection to England in the 16th century either or to any explained or shown hegemony. Why am I saying this? Well if you are a โkingdomโ destroyed by some mercenaries who claims the land? At this point it seems people do a 3 day walk and simply settle down without any worry about things like taxes by whomever the land is actually owned .... which certainly is not the prince or the people or otherwise the necessity of kingship or kingdoms would be not necessary. It might also be the case that my understanding of what a king is in this story is wrong but itโs not explained so if at all itโs not my fault but the authors. 3) While there isnโt much of inner conflicts visible there certainly are outer conflicts which are based on the โletโs build a village trope. While this certainly is interesting the lack there of character as mentioned under (1) makes it for naught for me. There is no excitement for the characters so why would I feel excitement for what they achieve? 4) Author tries to write in some romance ... sort of but for me it greatly suffers from (1) again let alone that how this romance is forced into a partnership is in my opinion ridiculous at best and missing the best part to explain why something evolves to that stage. It simply isnโt enough to state that one has been childhood โfriendsโ? despite steep class difference from the get go. 5) Blind follower-ship is another problem I have. Again the author wasted potential in his story progression by giving him followers to his site that simply follow his whims to some degree just because he is their former โKingโsโ son even though they could do better on their own and probably better on their own instead taking him in between their mid while risking to be raided yet again.... why? So to sum it up my problem with this story is that it doesnโt sufficiently explain why people do what they do. For people that donโt care about this and simply love the building a village trope I can recommend this. But for everyone that likes a bit more thought out character and development I suggest trying it but not expecting to much. Maybe the later parts are better as I havenโt read so much. But I donโt want to waste my time either with a story that doesnโt get me existed. Iโm sorry and hope the author can learn something from this rantly review ;)

A terrific author with a decent writing style wasting time on a rather silly plot. Characters are one track-minded and are all so very fucking innocent. I can understand the liberal use of non-local fruits and the like. Still, it was wholly unrealistic for the early development of the settlement to be aided by divine providence (aka armour plot). There's no real struggle, no differing opinions, and no genuine human emotions other than some MC drama. A lot to be improved, and I understand that a system of some sorts gets introduced later on, but I am not going to stick that long for it. Cheers.

I haven't read it yet but from the title and synopsis I like it already! I hope it doesn't dissappoint. My expectations are like super high hehehe...I will be commenting on this review about how it will turn out... I'm so excited

Story is a bit of a slow burner but its essential to build a bit of the world background before delving into much of the plot so it's okay. The wording and grammar is good, not too many errors or too many repeated words which is super rare on this site. Plus it's a historical drama based in early england, you rarely dont find that here so keep up the good work author!
I haven't read too much of the novel but this novel definitely deserves a rating so I am here to help out :) I will update once I have read more

I like the that novel is set in the medieval era, we don't have many of that here. Writing quality and grammar is ok. There are a few mistakes here and there but it is still enjoyable. I want to see more progress on the development of the economy, military, and the kingdom. The pace is fine and we are yet introduced to the surrounding areas and kingdoms. More character development would be great as well
Waste of time No synopsis, I won't read a book if I don't have an idea what it's about If mc is male or female unknown What is point of releasing a story with nothing for reader to go on unless your writing is terrible

The synopsis is bull**** this story does not play in england and is in no way historically accurate. Its a good slice of live and village building story. How a lord over 3000 citizens calls himself king is beyond me though.
