Chapter 42: The Village III: The Prophecy

"I think they may be using this village as an experiment," I said, which caught the attention of Gin. 

"Care to explain?" He asked, which he didn't have to ask.

"It's just a theory. But it started with my cousin. Since that was the first-ever case in this village," I explained. "As you know, this village is by the border of the Wasteland and the Kingdom of Lumina. There's a possible chance that the mastermind wants this to spread to the kingdom as well."

"That is what I've also been thinking," agreed Gin, who places his hand under his chin. "If the mastermind is trying to take over the world. They could have just started in the middle of the city. But didn't. Unless they're testing our power."

"So that they could assist what they can fix in the future," I added.
