Chapter 70: AN ARMISTICE

The day in Block C of the forest of Elder dawned with a warm and sunny embrace, quite unlike the usual shroud of the Canopy. Jay, Siena, and Tanii had spent the night at Lenora's home, and Jay awoke feeling surprisingly well-rested. It wasn't the familiar comfort of home, but he couldn't help but appreciate the hospitality and the respite from the usual nightly disturbances.

As the sun's rays filtered through the canopy above, Jay quietly slipped out of the makeshift sleeping area. He found himself in the modest kitchen where Lenora's mother was already bustling about, preparing for the day ahead.

"Good morning," Jay greeted with a smile as he approached Lenora's mother.

"Good morning, Jay," she replied warmly, turning her attention to him. "Did you sleep well?"

Jay nodded. "Yes, thank you. Is there anything I can help with?"

Lenora's mother smiled. "Actually, I could use a hand with breakfast. How about I teach you how to prepare a goblin dish?"
