Chapter 51: The First Attack
"Fine, I'll do things properly from now on. Can I get the team I wanted? Just people who can take care of poisons."
Fugaku nodded and glanced at the medical ninjas around him, "Which one of you are proficient in poisons? I need team of ten people lined up in front of me right now."
Hours passed, and just like Fugaku had told him, there were no new patients. Out of the 76 injured people, Kira had managed to fix up 28 of them on his own before running out of chakra as most of these people had severe injuries. As for his team of poison experts, they managed to save 6 people while 2 people died during the process.
The ones with less severe injuries were taken care by the other ninjas, so Kira headed back to his tent, extremely tired due to using up most of his chakra.
And since he had experienced it for the second time now, he could confidently say that this feeling was something he did not like in the slightest. He silently lied down on his bed and closed his eyes as he thought about the wood clones he had sent to three different locations with a specific task in mind.
'Things would have been different if I hadn't sent three clones to keep an eye on the area between land of fire, lighting and earth.' he thought as he had plans to make a deal with the third raikage while he fought the hidden stone shinobi who were from the land of earth.
The only problem was that he didn't know where the fight would take place. He only had a handful of clues that didn't give him a specific location, but narrowed down the options.
First was the fact that all the other big villages wanted to snatch some of Konoha's land. This meant that they'd have no other choice but to go through the other smaller countries.
Second was the fact that the third raikage, A's team encountered 10,000 hidden stone shinobi.
Since the two villages originally only had plans to fight against Konoha, this pointed towards one direction and it was that both of them were trying to use a pincer strategy to fight against Konoha by going through another country.
Originally, the two hidden villages had one place where they picked to fight against Konoha.
Hidden stone's battlefield was the hidden grass village and hidden cloud's battlefield was the hidden hot water village.
Konoha also shared a border with land of waterfall, land of iron and future land of sounds, all of which were in a line in between hidden grass and hidden hot water village.

All of this pointed towards the fact that the 10,000 shinobi were originally sent to launch a pincer attack on konoha from one of these three villages, but encountered A's team who were trying to do the same.
Since they were at a war, they simply decided to take advantage of their numbers and go against A's group. Of course, they could have teamed up and launched an attack on Konoha together, but based on what happened in the anime, Kira did not consider this possibility.
As for the reason why Kira considered a pincer attack as the most possible outcome? It was because when A's son, the one who'd become the fourth raikage, A and his adopted son, Bee were fighting against Minato, the third raikage was absent.
And on the other hand, when the third raikage was attacked by the 10,000 shinobi, his two sons were not with him either. When two groups led by strong people were at two different places, it pointed towards one simple answer; pincer attack.
Of course, if there were other reasons or factors, Kira just didn't have enough information to reach the true answer. But based on what he knew, this was the conclusion he arrived at.
"Oh well, all that's left is to wait and see if I'm right or wrong." he muttered before slowly drifting off to sleep.
The next day was more lax as he didn't have to worry about people with serious injuries. He leisurely healed them and sent them on their way before taking a look at the extra character points he managed to get yesterday for completing 10 missions, healing 1 person and finally, healing 10 people.
With three character points, he used two of them to upgrade his ninjutsu talent from C to A rank and used the last character point to improve his dynamic vision even further from C to B

By the time he was done with healing everyone, the sun was setting as it painted the sky in an orange hue. He stretched as he walked towards his tent, but this time there were multiple people who were greeting him.
He gave everyone a slight nod, an action that 99% of the men did when they saw someone they recognised on the condition that they weren't on bad terms.
Just as he was about to get into his tent, he got a signal from some of his bugs and this only meant one thing. The hidden sand was launching an attack.
Kira ran to Fugaku and pointed to the direction from which he received the signal, "Uncle Fugaku, enemy attack from that direction."
Fugaku took his words seriously as the kid in front of him had never failed to deliver on his promises. Even if he claimed that there was a tailed beast coming to attack, he'd still believe Kira.
He nodded and used the body flicker to get to one of the Hyuga clan member's side before telling him to use his byakugan to scout in the direction at which Kira pointed at.
