"Dominique, stop crying now. Your wolf is beautiful and reflects your light and darkness. She will always be a part of you. Accept her. Stop trying to push her into the recesses of your mind."

"I don't want to accept her. You can't be with a wolf. She won't accept you because you aren't her mate. Tim is."

"You're wrong, my love. She accepts me. Search your mind. Speak with her. You will see," Nathaniel said as he continued to stroke her hair away from her face. 

Dominique went quiet for some time. Her eyes were closed and her breathing calmed down. He watched as the bruising faded away and her body slowly started to reknit itself. He could feel her draining some energy from their connection but for the most part, her wolf was healing her. She slowly opened her eyes and he knew her wolf was in control. She slowly sat up.

"Thank you. Dominique is still weary but she is willing to accept me if you will."
