He had said they were connected. He had told her before that he could make it to where she would live forever and never grow old if she was his human servant. He had offered it to her but she hadn't agreed to it. How could he do that to her without her agreeing to it? What if she decided she didn't want to live forever as his human servant? At least with him turning her into a vampire, she had the freedom to go wherever she wanted or do whatever she wanted. Being his servant meant she was under his command. She found this made her angry. And all of this was on top of the fact that he almost killed her. 

 "You're awake. How are you feeling?" the doctor asked her.

 "I've had better days. I guess all in all I feel okay since I was drained of a lot of my blood."

 "Yes. That is why I didn't want you to go to the vampire. Vampires are our natural enemies."
