Chapter 237: Unusual Weather (3)

NIKOLAY

It was night already but the lights from the day walker house were enough to illuminate the path Nikolay was on as he headed towards the building. A jagged bolt of white hot lightening split the chilly sky and the deafening sound of thunder followed. The air was cold, really cold, but Nikolay could barely feel it because of what was going to happen in a couple of minutes. He gripped the handle of the box he was holding tighter as the rain beat him like it was trying to go through his skin and he wondered how long the rain would last.

Portals could take anywhere from one minute to thirty six hours to be created and since the ancestors were going to create a tear in the ancestral realm that would lead back to the land of the living and they would have to keep that portal open till they're done with what they're coming to do, it would take at least twenty hours for it to be fully opened. That didn't mean some witches weren't already slipping through it though.
