"I'm going upstairs," Lola whispered, blowing Imani a kiss and collecting her handbag before making her way towards the stairs.

"Now love," Lucas started and she could have sworn her heart skipped a beat as the corner of her mouth curved up at the realization that he wouldn't call her that if he hated her. "I'm on my way back. When Tyrone gets there, don't open the door for him. Do you understand?"

She furrowed her brows in confusion, about to ask if something was wrong when the doorbell rang and she glanced over her shoulder at the audio and video intercom system to see Tyrone and a woman standing on the other side of the door. "He's um, at the door now."
