Chapter 145: P's for Breakfast (1)

Imani's saw her sundress on the already made bed when she stepped out of the bathroom and assumed that Lucas must have placed it there when she was in the shower. She quickly put it on and also put on his jacket which was hanging on the back of the chair behind his desk because she had seen the hickeys on her neck and chest in the bathroom. She hadn't been surprised when she saw them because he sucked on her skin like a vacuum and also hadn't been surprised when she saw bruises on her waist where he gripped her last night because his hold had been quite tight.

She picked up her laptop, flash drive and her mum's leather-bound book and went downstairs, dropping them on the centre table in the living room before heading to the kitchen.
