Chapter 95: Nik's Place

Imani glanced at her phone after she rang the doorbell and saw that it was Lucas calling again. This was the third time he was calling since he realized that she had left the house. She had answered the first call from him and he had pleaded with her to come back to her place to which she responded by saying she just went to get the Sirizan virus and she would be back soon before she hung up. He had sounded extremely worried and Imani thought it was because of the witch that had paid them a visit earlier.

Yes, Lucas was worried because of the witch but also because of vampires and majority of his thoughts after realizing she was no longer in the house was of her being kidnapped – and most likely killed – by vampires.

She pressed her lips together and answered the call to put his mind at ease. "Hello," she muttered. She had accidentally hung up when he called her the second time and she hoped he didn't think she did it on purpose.
