Chapter 69: Hot and Cold

The car finally turned into Lucas' driveway and Imani picked up her purse and her phone when it slowly came to a stop. Lucas turned off the tablet and returned it to where he took it from before he opened the door as he grabbed his phone from the centre table and stepped out of the car, holding the door open for Imani. She glanced around first to see if there were any wolves in sight and saw none before she slowly got down from the car, sticking close to Lucas like she had done when they were leaving the house.
