Nikolay was shivering on the floor when they got back to the building and Imani and the witch quickly moved to where he was while Lucas stood by the door. The woman pressed her hand to Nikolay's forehead and furrowed her brows because he was burning up.

Her eyes darted to the bite mark on his wrist while Imani placed Nikolay's head in her lap and she said, "That's not a wolf bite."

Imani looked up and followed the woman's line of sight to the bite mark before she pressed her lips together. She had completely forgotten about the bite mark. The woman frowned as she pressed her fingers to the sides of Nikolay's head, muttering something under her breath, and Nikolay suddenly became still.

"... Nik," Imani muttered while the woman sighed and got to her feet, drawing Imani's attention to her.
