Chapter 222: Berserk (1)

Imani's heart wanted to beat out of her chest and her legs were burning due to overexertion but she didn't stop running. She couldn't stop running. She could hear the wolf coming after her as she ran past trees, making sure not to trip over roots that were peeking out of the ground because tripping over one less than a minute ago had caused her to be separated from Lola.

They had also gotten separated because she pulled them into the forest. Coming here was a good call though because the blind wolf kept running into trees and tripping over roots but the last time it tripped, it had tumbled forward and knocked Imani and Lola to the ground. The wolf had gotten back on all fours immediately and was in between the both of them but went after Imani when she told Lola to run.
