Chapter 4: Chapter 03

??? P. O. V.

My heart aches, a familiar pain I've grown accustomed to, yet even in my youth, the sting is palpable. Orphaned at four, I've never truly sensed the void my parents left, thanks to the love of Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

However, stepping into kindergarten unveils the poignant truth — the absence of my biological parents becomes an undeniable reality for the first time.

Isolated from the laughter and camaraderie, I found myself excluded as other mothers forbade their children from playing with me.

The reasons eluded me then, but the cruel truth unfolded — orphaned kids like me were deemed unfit companions. Kindergarten became a realm of solitude, my young heart burdened with the weight of loneliness.

( Talking about bit¢es who get fu¢ked by a thousand men, look for innocent men to raise her and her thousand father b@stard child. )

Amidst the challenges, a bright spot emerged in my kindergarten days – a neighbor named Mary Jane Watson, affectionately known as 'MJ.' With her pretty face framed by red hair, she extended kindness and became my playmate. Despite struggling with studies, I found joy in helping her from time to time, fostering a friendship that brought warmth to those formative years.

In fourth grade, MJ's departure left me grappling with solitude once more. Immersing myself in science became my solace, earning me the moniker 'Nerd.' Despite the taunts, I chose silence, embracing my passion while silently navigating the loneliness that accompanied it.

High school brought its own share of hardships as Flash Thompson and his gang became relentless bullies. The teachers seemed oblivious, their wooden glasses metaphorically shielding them from my struggles.

Amidst the adversity, I found solace in newfound friends with namesakes like Ned Leeds (Ned) and Gwendolyn Stacy (Gwen Stacy). Despite the ongoing torment from Flash, their companionship brought a sense of happiness to my challenging high school days.

A moment of extraordinary joy descended upon me as I gained spider-like powers. However, the fleeting happiness took a tragic turn when Uncle Ben fell victim to Mugler's violence while trying to intervene.

In the wake of Uncle Ben's death, his enduring advice became my guiding light, preventing me from succumbing to the darkness and steering me away from a path of negativity.

Choosing the path of a hero, I committed myself to preventing others from experiencing the loss I endured. While earning both adoration and animosity from the people of New York City, a paradox unfolded. Those I saved showered me with love, but the police department, particularly J. Jonah Jameson, harbored resentment.

In a somewhat hypocritical twist, I exploited my unfavorable reputation by selling Spider-Man photos to J.J., a pragmatic means of earning a living while navigating the complexities of my dual identity.

As life unfolded, my path was marked by accomplishments, yet it also drew the attention of formidable adversaries. From the Green Goblin to Doc Ock, Rhino, Shocker, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Vulture, Scorpion, Lizard, and others, my roster of enemies grew.

However, none of their threats compared to the emotional pain I grapple with today, transcending the physical battles I've faced.

In the routine of school life, a startling incident unfolded as Gwen found herself in an accident. Swiftly, I intervened as Spider-Man, saving her from harm.

However, upon her awakening, a deceptive narrative emerged — our classmates falsely claimed that Flash Thompson was the hero who rescued her, concealing the truth of my intervention.

Despite Flash Thompson's questionable history as her friend's bully, Gwen surprising agrees to a date with him.

The revelation stings, and the weight of false accusations drives me to the solace of the bathroom, grappling with the unjust perception that I was a coward instead of acknowledging the truth of my efforts to save her.

Swinging through the cityscape as Spider-Man, I search for secluded spots to release the emotions weighing on me. However, New York offers no refuge, leaving me grappling with the need to conceal my inner struggles within the anonymity of my superhero persona.

Do I bear a perpetual curse, destined to wander through life without ever discovering true happiness?

"Indeed, the world seems to have cast its curse, whether upon Spider-Man or Peter Parker."

A mysterious voice resonated, though no figure emerged. Startled, I plummeted from the sky, only to be caught by my right leg and propelled onto the roof of a towering building by an unseen force.

Rolling to a landing on the roof, I swiftly assumed a defensive stance, prepared for a potential adversary who seemed privy to my identity.

"No need for such vigilance. Had I been your foe, harm would have befallen you already; even your spider powers couldn't shield you," the mysterious voice assured, challenging my expectations.

Gazing skyward, I discovered the source of the voice—a man with a powerful physique, unmistakable even from a distance. His black hair framed a face resembling that of a movie star, while piercing blue eyes held an air of enigma.

The mysterious figure sported a formidable blue-colored armor, its bulkiness extending to hands, legs, and shoulders. Golden ropes intricately connected from shoulder to hand and waist to knee, adding an air of regality. Across his chest, a prominent red 'S' symbol adorned the armor, and a flowing red cape billowed behind him, completing the commanding and iconic presence.

With a deliberate descent, he touched down before me, a towering presence in the imposing armor, his arrival carrying an air of calculated grace.

Mc point of view:

Touching down before Spider-Man, I sensed his wariness, perhaps stirred by recent events or alerted by his active spider-sense. The air crackled with tension as our paths intersected, both of us navigating the uncertainty of the moment.

"Who are you, and how do you know my name?" Spider-Man inquired, his voice tinged with both fear and weariness, emotions palpable in the air.

"I could learn about you in various ways—destroying your suit, using X-ray vision, trailing you to your home, and more. Yet, I have no need for such methods. How can I not know myself?" Superboy Prime mused with a smile, his words carrying a subtle air of mystery.

( I address Superboy-Prime as mc name. While they Will know him as Superman Prime. )

"What do you mean 🤯, you're me? Are you some kind of clone?" Spider-Man questioned with a sense of astonishment, trying to make sense of the revelation.

"I'm Peter Parker from one of the parallel versions of Earth-65. Your version hails from Earth-85743," Superboy Prime disclosed to Spider-Man, unraveling the intricacies of their multiversal connection.

"Wow, dude, you must be joking," Spider-Man chuckled, his laughter revealing a mix of disbelief and amusement at the extraordinary revelation.

"No, Peter, I didn't just come here to share my origin from another dimension. I'm here with a specific purpose—to assist you, alongside my other self," Superboy Prime stated with a solemn tone, signaling a deeper intention behind his presence.

"I've come to help you, but why?" Spider-Man questioned, his surprise evident in the curiosity that lingered in his voice.

"I sense your suffering, and that's why I've come. Additionally, there's something I must impart—a catalyst to propel you further into the path of becoming a hero," Superboy Prime conveyed to Spider-Man, his words carrying a weight of purpose.

"What drives me to be a hero is the wisdom of Uncle Ben: 'With great power, comes great responsibility.' Do you have something to add?" Spider-Man inquired, seeking insights from Superboy Prime.

"And a little happiness. That's what I want to add to your life," Superboy Prime conveyed to Spider-Man, introducing a touch of positivity to the weight of responsibility.

" Why do you even care about me? " Spiderman asked Superboy Prime his reason.

"I care because I see your struggles, and I believe every version of Peter Parker deserves a chance at happiness," Superboy Prime explained, expressing a compassionate motivation for his concern.

After instructing his alternate self to purchase a pizza and a soft drink, an air of anticipation filled the room.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Why did Cyclops have an affair with Emma Frost?

I got to say, this moment in comics always bothered me, and I think it shows some nasty sexism. People tend to treat this as a joke, another example of what an a-hole Scott is.

But imagine if the gender were switch around. A women goes to therapy after going through some severe trauma. She's struggling with her failing marriage. Her male therapist continues to make moves on her despite her showing multiple times that she's uncomfortable with it and she doesn't want to cheat on her husband. In the end she gives in.

How is she the villain here? Isn't it quite obvious that she's a victim? I assure you, if this happened there would be outcries against the male therapist, especially if said therapist had mind controlling powers. People would be disgusted (rightly so) at his behavior. But if it's done to a man, lol, what an a-hole for cheating on his wife.

I'm not saying that Emma raped Scott, but it definitely wasn't completely consensual either. She manipulated him when he was at his most vulnerable because she wanted to have sexy times. And this is somehow considered Scott's fault. No one ever mentions that what Emma does is completely horrific. It's considered fine. Why?

(( Page ))

I mean, look at his body language on this page! He's obviously uncomfortable, trying to move away from her. He tells her multiple times he doesn't feel like he wants this. He tries to get her to back off and she doesn't listen. Instead she continues to manipulate him.

But this is all considered fine. Why?

Because Scott's a man. And we're still living in a world where cases of outright rape is considered fine….if it's done to a man. Something like this, that isn't even technically rape? It's considered perfectly fine. People see this love affair as two sided, even though it's a textbook case of sexual coercion.

And before anyone comes up with 'it was a different time' let me remind you that people still hate Hank Pym for being a domestic abuser, even though that was a different time. The few male characters that have raped or molested women (joker, dr. Light, Kilgrave, Sabertooth) are still considered depraved even by other villains.

If a male hero even had a one night stand while they were both drunk I'm sure there would be outcries on the internet. But when a woman uses her position of power on a vulnerable man to coerce him into having an affair with her, it's his fault. He shouldn't have cheated on his wife.

So yeah, he was manipulated by his therapist who was supposed to be helping him at his incredibly difficult time in his life into having a mental affair, and seems that only one of them was a telepath it calls into question exactly how much control he had over the situation.

But hey, he's a guy, so it's fine.
