Soda Ramen___________________

"So, what are you girls up to?" I ask, trying to make some sort of connection.

None of them respond. They stay glued to the monitors and keyboards like they're the most fascinating things in the world. Or maybe they just don't want to acknowledge me. Could be the headphones too, though. But if I'm being honest, I don't think the YOLO squad is particularly fond of me. They see me as different. What was it they called me? Oh yeah, *boomer*. 

I'm not *that* old. And how do you even measure age for someone who can't die? Still, being treated like a relic feels... sad. But I'm not letting it end like that.

"Have you guys eaten?" I ask, figuring food might be a way to break through.

Fatty's head whips around instantly, eyes lighting up like a kid at Christmas. "No—wait, I don't think we have eaten—"

Before she can finish, Nerdy nudges her, giving her a look.

Fatty blinks, confused. "What?"
