I would gain a lot from this story if you decided to make it your own. You take away the Chinese character, and all the propaganda and writing style so racist and characteristic Chinese. And I think it would be a pretty good novel.
The story certainly have a potential, just that the translation sucks ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
