Chapter 340: Chapter 340: Beating Someone Up Is Very Hard!

With the troublesome ninjas defeated, Namikaze Minato swiftly turned the tide of battle against the remaining two enemies. Within moments, he had subdued them, and Rin completed the job by sealing them with practiced precision.

Akimichi Choza and Aburame Shibi approached from the distance, applauding the efforts of the young shinobi. "As expected of Minato's students, defeating Miki! She's a well-known force in the underground world," Choza praised, a broad smile of approval on his face.

Shibi added with his usual calm, "You all did well, but remember, you must exercise caution in battle. Youth can afford some impulsiveness, but evaluating an opponent's strength early is essential. If victory isn't certain, retreat."

With a smile, Minato stepped forward. "Your Chuunin assessment is effectively complete. Now, you have two options: return to Konoha and officially take on missions as Chuunin, or stay with us and complete this mission, which will be recorded in your Chuunin mission history. Bear in mind, it's dangerous."

Without hesitation, Kakashi, Obito, and Rin said in unison, "We choose to stay and complete the mission!"

Minato nodded, his chest swelling with pride. "Good choice. You'll assist Reiki with clearing out the puppet forces. For the deeper, more dangerous tasks... Speaking of which, where is Reiki?"

Rin glanced sideways, embarrassed. "Brother Reiki is... over there," she said, pointing.

Minato followed her gaze to see Reiki busy tending to the injured enemies, carefully applying his medical skills.

"Of course," Minato muttered, a rueful smile crossing his face. "Choza, Shibi, bring the defeated ninjas to Reiki. We can't let them succumb to their wounds."

Choza chuckled. "Right, can't pass up a chance for free medicine. Besides, I'm fond of his potions," he said, vanishing to gather the injured.

Reiki had insisted that during missions, defeated but non-target ninjas should be spared and treated so he could refine his medical skills. The potions he distributed were valuable, so the arrangement was mutually beneficial—Reiki got his practice, and his allies got healing supplies.

"It's a bit risky to stay here for too long," Choza remarked as he reappeared, laying down a dozen injured but stable ninjas. "This was just the first wave. The underground world sent notable figures, and more could be coming."

Minato nodded. "That's a concern, but for now, we're staying put until Reiki finishes. We're safer with him here, anyway."

Choza sighed, "Alright. I'll get more if needed."

Reiki, meanwhile, ignored everything else, focused entirely on his patients. "Lin, come help me with bandages and basic care," he said without looking up.

"Yes, Brother Reiki," Rin said, stepping in to assist.

Minato looked around at his team. "Alright, we'll stay. Shibi, you're in charge of perception. Kakashi and Obito, you're going to train with Choza and me."

The sun dipped below the horizon as they trained and kept watch. It wasn't until nightfall that Minato noticed Reiki still hunched over, treating the last of the wounded.

"Still not done, Reiki?" Minato asked, eyebrows raised.

Reiki glanced up briefly. "They were treated three times already, but since you didn't return, I kept going."

Shibi, looking a bit sheepish, added, "He even asked me to keep beating them so he could treat them again."

"Wait," Minato's eyes widened. "You mean Reiki asked *you* to keep hitting them?"

"No," Kakashi interjected. "He treated them while Shibi-sensei did the beating."

Shibi sighed. "Yes, and let me tell you, I thought beating someone would be easy. But keeping up with Reiki's treatment speed? I was exhausted. The only reason I stopped was because my last insect jutsu—an explosive jade technique—finally wore them down."

Reiki grinned from where he worked. "Medical ninjutsu is relentless, Captain Minato. And the training doesn't stop until they're all fully treated."

Minato, shaking his head in amusement, finally understood. For the first time, he realized that even beating someone up could be a challenging task, especially with someone as tireless as Reiki leading the treatment.
