Chapter 1: Chapter 1 : Regrets
Japan, July 19th.
« What's wrong ? If you're not gonna attack then I will ! » explained the sixth Division Lieutenant Renji Abarai, while preparing his move. Just when he was about to do it, Ichigo Kurosaki increased his spiritual power and rushed towards Renji. The orange hair boy swung his sword then sliced the left shoulder of his enemy while appearing behind him. Ichigo then turned around to cut Renji's back but this one, with pure reflex, blocked his attack at the last moment.
'What the hell ? What is with this guy's huge spiritual power ?!' thought Renji. 'Where did he suddenly get this amount of power ? '
« What's wrong ? Your movements became so slow ! » declared Ichigo with an arrogant tone. « I DON'T THINK I WILL LOSE TO YOU ! »
When this happened, The captain of the sixth division, Byakuya Kukichi, decided to intervene. He cut Ichigo's sword with just his fingers in an instant. It was so quick and smooth that he gave the illusion he didn't move.
In a blink of an eye, Byakuya stood up next to Ichigo and slashed his chest with his katana. The last one fell on the ground with the shock in his eyes. He could not understand what Byakuya did.
When he was about to kill Ichigo, Rukia, Byakuya's sister and the friend of the new shinigami, begged his brother to leave him alone.
Thanks to her determination, Byakuya, Renji and Rukia left and went to Soul Society.
On the street, an orange-hair boy was lying and bleeding to death...
'I can't say anything, I can't even move' thought Ichigo. 'I'm sorry Rukia… I came to protect you… But it was me who received help again'.
France, November 18th.
In the Louvre Museum, on the second floor, a card could be seen instead of a painting. It was white with a black logo describing a smiling face wearing a long hat.
« WE NEED TO CATCH HIM AT ALL COST ! » yelled a french policeman director. He was standing in front of the unusual card.
« Sir, we found him ! He is using a hand-gliding to escape from us ! » a policeman stated.
« AND THAT'S ONLY NOW YOU SAY IT YOU NUGGET ? » The director screamed.
They rushed outside. There were hundreds of policemen shocked with the scene. It was the night and the stars were seen shining through the dark. A white hand-gliding could easily be seen in the air moving around 50km/h.
« Quickly put all the men available to chase him, I don't want the french police departement pride to fall down » ordered the director.
All the policemen rushed to their cars to intercept the thief.
Next to the museum, inside a park, a policeman was walking as if nothing happened. He was tall and thin. He carried a big bag that can contain paintings. He had a smile on his lips.
'Eheh, that was too easy to steal it' thought the thief.
Suddenly, a voice could be heard in japanese « Halt man ! Or should i say Kaito Kid ? ».
It was a kid's voice. He was around ten years old and was wearing a white shirt with a red bowtie covered by a blue jacket. He had grey shorts and red shoes.
« Oh, isn't it Mr. Detective ? How did you find me ? » asked Kaito Kid.
« Well, you already had done this diversion before in Japan » said Conan.
« Who would have thought you would be in Paris ? It was what holidays ? » responded the other. He chuckled then, with a single arm movement, he wore his iconic costume. Blue shirt, White jacket, pants, a white long hat and an eyeglass.
« You can't understand how tough it was to come here to catch you. But you know what ? I love to use my brai... » But when Conan was about to end his sentence, three fire shots was heard. Conan and Kaito kid were shocked. The director was standing on their side behind a tree. He just shot to kill the thief.
« AHAH ! I CAUGHT YOU KAITO KID ! I WILL HAVE ALL THE MERITS » said the policeman in french. « Thanks for your help kiddo but now you should leave. It is not safe to wander at night with your age » He told trying his best to speak in english.
« FUCK ! WHY DID YOU DO THAT OLD MAN ?! YOU COULD HAVE JUST ARRESTED HIM » cried Conan. He just wanted to solve the enigma Kaito made, not to kill him. The magician was the rival of Conan. He was one of the people that knew the real identity of the detective. He even helped him some time. Just before Conan knew it, a tear began to roll down his cheek.
« He didn't steal something random kiddo. HE STOLE THE JOCONDE ! » yelled the director.
'Ahahah I guess I died, well I wasn't able to steal it. Well played Kudo, you beat me this time… I wonder if Aoko will miss me…'. These were the last thoughts of Kuroba Kaito.
Japan, April 20th 2020.
In a street in Tokyo, a young man was walking. There were not a lot of people even in Tokyo because of quarantine due to the COVID pandemic. The man's name was Kanki Kousei. He was a 3rd year student of mathematics at the University of Tokyo. He was heading to the restaurant next to his home.
Kousei had many hobbies such as music, drawings, scientific subjects but more importantly: mangas, animes, novels and fanfictions. He was what we use to call, an Otaku. When he had time to rest, he wouldn't hesitate to spend it reading. The young man loved to be like the Hero. He wanted to die protecting someone or by saving the world.
It was a sunny day when Kousei was walking down the street. The wind was blowing carrying sakuras' leaves. He entenred the restaurant, ordered a bowl of ramen, and sat at an empty chair. A few minutes later, his ramen arrived. When he looked at the beauty of the plate, the wonderful odour coming to his nose, he couldn't help but thank all the gods he knew to have such a plate in this world. He began to eat but…
'SOMEONE HELP ME, I CAN'T BREATHE, AM I GOING TO DIE LIKE THIS ??' Kousei screamt to himself.
He fell to the ground. The few people around screamed and rushed to him trying to help him. Some called the ambulance.
He died by eating ramen.
