Once again the screen started going through names before landing on two that made Naruto chuckle a bit.
Inuzuka Kibs vs. Inuzuka Hana
Hana could only stare in disbelief at the screen in front of her.
"Hahaha! Out of everybody in the entire chunin exams you wound of having to fight your little brother! You've got some terrible luck my friend." Naruto laughed at Hana's misfortune.
She sent him a stare and huffed, "Thanks for the encouragement! You know I won't lose to him, but I also don't want to hurt him too badly."
"Just give it everything you have. If you don't he'll be even more hurt than if you were to go all out on him." Obito stated before giving her a little push to head down the stairs.
"Good luck!" Her team yelled at her before making it to the center of the arena.
She stood in the middle of the arena facing her little brother and Akamaru, with her three ninkens by her side. On the way down the stairs, she had decided that she would show Kiba his place today. He had always been far too arrogant for his own good and if it continued it would most likely get him killed on a mission.
"I guess we got lucky, huh Akamaru? There's no way that she can beat us with all the training we've done these past few months. She wasn't even good enough to be the clan heir, Kaa-san chose me because she knew I would be stronger. Right now is when we put her in her place." Kiba boasted arrogantly.
Hana didn't even dignify that with a response. This was their clan heir? The clan's future? He was pathetic, he should at least know by now that he was only chosen as the clan heir because he was born as a male among a clan where they needed to be led by an alpha male. If he thought these words would even make her react he was more foolish than she thought.
"I was talking to you Nee-san! Aren't you going to say anything to your clan heir?" Kiba was trying to provoke her into losing her cool but Hana was having none of that. She took a page out of Naruto's book and chose to play the apathetic sibling.
"Are we going to start the match or are we just going to listen to this mutt bark all day?" Hana asked looking at the proctor.
Kiba was visibly getting angrier by the second at Hana's words.
Genma could only sweat drop at how different the siblings were from each other. It reminded him of the Hokage's children. "Right...You may begin!"
Kiba and Hana both brought their hands up into a tiger hand seal. They then crouched down on all fours as their finger nails extended into claws, their eyes became more slitted, and all of their physical qualities became more animalistic. "Giju Ninpo: Shikyaku no Jutsu (Ninja Art of Beast Mimicry: All-Fours Jutsu)!"
Both of their bodies became enveloped with chakra as the technique granted them with increased speed, strength, agility, reflexes, and endurance. They charged each other on all four limbs with pure taijutsu, opting not to use their clan techniques just yet and leaving their ninken on standby. Hana was faster by far. She rushed and drove her elbow into Kiba's gut, forcing him back. Kiba coughed up a little saliva before regaining his balance.
Hana didn't give him a chance to recover as she appeared before him once more and slammed her leg into Kiba's side sending him across the room. Kiba got up and knew he needed to use his clan techniques to get an edge early on. He pushed off the ground and started spinning into a ferocious vortex. "Tsuga (Tunneling Fang)!" Kiba sped towards Hana with such speed that she couldn't fully avoid the attack. He managed to nick her arm as she avoided a direct hit, but he stall managed to draw blood. They both recovered after a moment and Kiba came at her once again.
Hana knew the time for playing around was over as she used her own Tsuga to match him blow for blow. The spinning vortexes sped towards each other ferociously, meeting in the middle every time and causing sparks to fly everywhere from the friction. This went on for a few minutes before both realized they weren't getting anywhere.
Kiba was the first to disengage as he landed beside Akamaru, while Hana landed next to the three Haimaru brothers.
"It seems we'll need to step things up a bit Akamaru." Kiba tossed a soldier pill for Akamaru to eat and then proceeded to eat one himself. Akamaru's fur started turning red and he became much more viscous looking, while Kiba's own chakra doubled in strength.
"Let's go Akamaru!" Kiba yelled, after which the now red dog hopped on his back as Kiba made a singular hand seal. "Giju Ninpo: Jujin Bunshin (Ninja Art of Beast Mimicry: Man Beast Clone)!" The dog on top of Kiba transformed into a perfect copy of him as they prepared for their assault.
Hana preformed the same jutsu except she didn't need to give her ninken soldier pills in preparation for the technique. Three perfect copies of Hana appeared beside her as they prepared to counter the jutsu they knew that Kiba was planning.
"Gatsuga (Fang Passing Fang)!" Kiba yelled as he and Akamaru spun wildly trying to deliver the finishing blow to Hana. However, she was expecting this and was easily able to counter it. She had mastered this jutsu after all, whereas Kiba obviously had not. The attacks were powerful, but they were obviously uncontrolled. He just spun wildly hoping that the assault would hit and tear through the opponent. He had obviously not trained as hard as he thought he did.
The attack patterns were sloppy and obvious. She could easily read the path that the Gatsuga would take and merely sidestepped. Now she would prepare for her counter attack and finish Kiba off. Kiba may boast about being the strong alpha male, but the truth was that he was weak. He may have been able to quickly finish off the opponents that he had fought before the chunin exams, he had not taken many hits because of their clan's fast taijutsu.
She could not boast the same. Hana could still remember all of the beatings that she had gotten from Naruto in their spars and how she could barely stand afterwards. The brunette remembered all of the blood she had shed to get this strong. All of the scars marring her body because she had strived to become strong. She would not lose to this little brat just because he was supposed an alpha male. She would put him in his place, she was done dealing with his shit.
Hana watched on as another set of Gatsugas came at her in a predictable fashion. Hana nodded at her ninken and all of the took action. All four of them burst off of the ground and began to curve around to avoid the oncoming attacks, but soon began to roll into four ferocious buzz-saw like shapes. "Gatenga (Fang Rotating Fang)!" They curved back on course and slammed into Kiba's and Akamaru's sides, completely shredding the skin off in the process. Two of the ninken had attacked Akamaru while Hana and the last ninken finished off Kiba.
The male Inuzuka and his ninken fell from the air to the floor in a bloody mess. Hana had landed on the other side of the room and watched as blood seeped out onto the floor. She knew that she hadn't done enough damage to kill him and only caused enough pain to render him unconscious. It was finally over.
Genma knelt down next to the Inuzuka heir and felt for a pulse, he loked up and noded to the medical team signaling for them to take care of the downed genin. He walked into the center of the arena to make his announcement, "Winner by knockout, Inuzuka Hana."
Hana smiled and slowly walked up the stairs to be greeted with the smiling faces of her team. She knew that Satsuki and Naruto couldn't have cared any less if Hana had killed Kiba, that's what made her love them so much. They would stay by her side no matter what, those were the kind of friends that all Inuzuka needed to have by their sides. She knew that the clan wouldn't appreciate what she did to Kiba very much, but she didn't care anymore. All she needed was these two, she wouldn't trade them for the world.
