Chapter 73: Unintended Consequences
Yoroi had experienced a breakthrough during his battle with Hozuki Mangetsu but hadn't fully showcased his newfound strength.
After all, Mangetsu was a genius of the Mist Village and a Jonin-level ninja, overpowering Yoroi in every aspect.
However, when fighting alone against four Mist Anbu, Yoroi's progress became evident!

Especially after seeing the recognizable Konoha Anbu attire, Yoroi gritted his teeth and inwardly cursed:
"It's him again!"
"He's like a persistent specter!"
Who was this person?
Who else but Hatake Kakashi, the former Anbu captain who never left a good impression on Yoroi?
Recognizing Kakashi's familiar figure, Yoroi quickly realized that these Mist Anbu were actually bait meant to lure out Kakashi, who was on a secret mission.
Understanding this, Yoroi sighed deeply, realizing he had once again been unwittingly drawn into another incident.
Yoroi was about to greet Kakashi and suggest they eliminate the surrounding Mist Anbu together before discussing their next steps and returning to the Konoha camp.
However, just as Yoroi was about to speak, something unexpected happened!

Yoroi's angry outburst made Kakashi freeze for a moment.
Recognizing the familiar voice and uniform, Kakashi's eyes showed a hint of embarrassment, and he shifted the topic, saying:
"Let's deal with these guys first!"
"Chidori!"
"Zzz!"
"Zzz!"
Despite his annoyance with Kakashi, Yoroi knew this wasn't the time to settle scores.
Before, in Konoha, Kakashi almost killed him during a sparring session with Chidori.
Now, amidst Mist Anbu, Kakashi couldn't even tell a friend from a foe and further injured him with another Chidori.
Adding these together, Yoroi felt a strong urge to kill Kakashi.
Unfortunately, with his shoulder now severely injured, Yoroi lacked the strength to teach Kakashi a lesson. Watching Kakashi dispatch two Mist Anbu with Chidori, Yoroi couldn't help but sneer and coldly say:
"Hmph, nothing impressive!"
"If I hadn't restrained them, would you still be chasing them all over?"
"I'll handle the last one. Don't trouble yourself!"
"Shadow Neck Bind!"
"Crack!"
Kakashi injuring him and then trying to take credit was intolerable for Yoroi.
So, just as Kakashi was about to kill the last Mist Anbu captain, Yoroi, enduring his shoulder pain, changed his hand seals and executed the Shadow Neck Bind, killing the Mist Anbu captain. Seeing Kakashi's cold gaze, Yoroi retorted:
"Shadow, why did you kill him? Do you know how long I've been chasing them? Now you've killed them, it was all for nothing!"
"All for nothing? Better that than injuring an ally, right?"
Before his breakthrough, Yoroi wouldn't have dared to confront Kakashi. But now, having defeated Hozuki Mangetsu and gained confidence, he wouldn't tolerate Kakashi's antics.
Angrily rebuking Kakashi, Yoroi sat down and began unwrapping the bandage on his shoulder. The smell of burnt flesh hit him as the bandage came off, revealing the severe injury. If not treated immediately, Yoroi could lose his arm because of Kakashi.
Seeing Yoroi's severe injuries, Kakashi's eyes showed surprise.
Especially after the battle, noticing Yoroi's body covered in bandages, Kakashi curiously asked:
"Shadow, weren't you with the medical unit? How did you get hurt?"
"Hurt? Right, I need to talk to you about something important."
Hearing Kakashi's question, Yoroi decided to focus on the urgent matter, his tone serious as he replied:
"Our medical unit is surrounded by the Mist Village. We need reinforcements, or our unit might be annihilated. I led a breakout successfully, but I got separated from my teammates while covering their retreat."
"My dear captain, if possible, I hope you can take me back to the main camp to report this."
"And please… help me find my teammates. I'm really worried about them!"
