Chapter 4: Chapter-4: Chakra unlocking!
(An unknown time later)
My days were as peaceful as it could get.
I would train the whole day, learning different things, eating food and sleep. With my own separate steps, I was able to get a decent foothold amongst the youth of Hyuga clan.
My theory was simple.
Lead them like they are my own children and blood and become better with each step.
Around this time, my chakra was finally about to be unlocked.
Hyugas often delay unlocking chakra amongst the upper echelons as unlocking it early is considered a bad omen.
Why?
Well the story goes on to tell that one day, a baby once unlocked chakra at age of 1 and a few days later, he spontaneously burnt himself to death by misusing the chakra.
Another child unlocked chakra at an early age and his chakra reserve always remained small as unlocking chakra very early leads to pressure on chakra coil and stunting it's growth permanently, unless of course you have a demon fox in your stomach who can literally regenerate your whole body at ridiculous speed, avoiding any consequences of serious injuries which may disable even the most splendid ninjas.
Since then it's been similar to a ritual.
lowest Hyugas to-be fodder ninjas have their chakra at age of 2.
mid tier Branch member Hyugas generally get theirs unlocked by age of 4.
Top grade Hyugas who control the clan and whole main family wait till age of 6 to unlock the chakra.
These days, my feelings were little complicated as well.
Before I came to this world, I was just a normal man trying his best but this life has definitely taken a toll on me. The hardest path was to wake up everyday and be constantly on my toes for as long as I can remember. The easy life, no worries life and death...They were no longer there.
Loneliness is on the other hand was something else as well.
I felt connected with others here but at the same time I didn't.
To me, all this was just a work of fiction but here they were real but something inside me doesn't want to accept it. I am still trying to make amends with it.
Day after day, I encountered random fortunes and misfortunes but I had no one to share the joy or sadness with. I feel like my previous life didn't amount much other than my thinking ability.
The smile on my face was slowly dropping...
It was turning fake and I couldn't do anything about it. More I tried to discover people and try to make bonds, the faker they seemed.
Betrayal would be dripping out of their eyes and hearts.
And with the world I live in right now, I wouldn't even trust my own shadow.
I took a deep breath to calm myself and just headed out to get my chakra unlocked.
I shouldn't be wasting any time.
As I walked along the hallway, I saw a couple of ninjas, who averted their eyes and bowed down to me.
these were ninjas who were currently responsible for fulfilling my orders.
I personally scouted them out after checking their mission reports, loyalty and thinking.
They would fulfill any of my orders, completely unquestioning. Just the way I liked it. No curiosity. No doubts.
I made a little gesture to them and they lead the way for me.
After a few minutes of walking, we reached the hallway where the ceremony would take place.
This would involve just main family and only branch family leader would be present. No one else knew this.
The hall turned quiet as soon as I stepped inside
"Junichiro Hyuga-sama is arriving." A voice said as I walked with confidence towards the main seat, where I was supposed to sit, just in front of my father who would be responsible for unlocking my chakra.
"Let us proceed with the ceremony." I answered as I undid my clothes to just expose the upper body.
"Unlocking your chakra is fairly simple. I will direct some chakra outside my body and transfer it through your body while you will try to feel it. It will feel like as if you are taking a warm bath but inside your body. Focus and remember the feeling." He said as he put his hands on my back and started concentrating.
At first, I didn't feel anything but slowly but surely, I saw a giant ball like structure in my stomach's centre. It was strange as it was quite literally surrounded by chains and everything I tried to touch it or manipulate it, I felt as if something was restricting me from doing so.
I stopped concentrating and immediately asked him for help, to which he was a little surprised.
"Then brace yourself for a world of pain." He said as he started pushing a lot of chakra in my body.
It felt overwhelming to me. As if I was drowning and burning at the same time.
I wanted to scream loud but I didn't.
All the muscles in my body started contracting and relaxing at a rapid pace. As if I took 20 doses of pre-workout.
'If I were intimidated by this little pain, am I really worthy of using chakra? No...I cannot won't be restricted by something like this.' I said as I exhaled and started focusing more, trying to feel chakra.
I held on. I didn't scream. Not even once I made any sound.
Tears flooded my eyes yet I kept a straight face.
The process took around 5 minutes to do but it was the longest 5 minutes of my entire life.
"It is complete. The chakra was unlocked." Clan leader said as he patted my back and I took a deep breathe.
I could feel it.
Chakra.
The sensation felt amazing.
It felt exactly like liquid heat.
It would flow freely yet as it travelled, it produced warm currents in my body. I instinctively directed my chakra through my eyes, trying to activate Byakugan.
It activated as well. My head felt a little hot but I could see.
Way beyond what a normal man should be seeing. A near 360 degrees vision with ability to observe chakra.
It appeared as a dark blue smoke around others and myself, however, mine was felt...darker?
The color and feeling from each person. It felt that if observed carefully, no one can imitate chakra's ability that the other person had.
"...This...is splendid. " I heard my father's voice.
"It felt like an instinct to direct chakra in my eyes as soon as it unlocked, Father. How should I deactivate it?" I asked.
"Try to direct the chakra in head back to your chakra core, as if dragging a string back," He said as I followed each step, deactivating my eyes.
'To think you would be able to do this much without having even a full minute's experience with chakra...Future looks brighter than I imagined.' Michikatsu Hyuga, the current clan leader thought.
I slowly rose up as I felt as if I was reborn. My muscles felt sore but I could feel there was something similar to a connection in my body. I suppose this is chakra pathway that is talked about.
It was as if someone was limiting me previously but now I was free.
Perhaps this is related with why did humans back on earth didn't have chakra? I don't know but mostly I could care less.
"Here. Try pushing some chakra into this." Father said as he gave me a black stone.
Without any hesitation I pushed some chakra inside it and I suddenly heard a scream around me.
The branch family leader was screaming his lungs out as I pushed chakra inside the stone.
"This is seal stone. After this day, you will be taught how to do this with just a seal. Now take this ceremonial sword and kill him." He said as he handed me a shiny crescent blade.
I moved forward without any staggering steps. I knew this would come soon. But I didn't expect it to be this early.
"Your death shall water my success tree. Do not struggle." I said as I pushed more chakra inside the black stone, restraining the man completely.
I directed the blade on his neck, pushing right through the carotid artery and increased the force to reach the brain.
As soon as I felt that I might've reached appropriate level, I started twisting the blade as branch family leader's eyes remained open yet lifeless, shocked with pain and agony.
"Well done." Father said as he made a hand seal and branch leader's body was surrounded with some smoke.
It turns out it was a different person, not the branch leader but a scapegoat Hyuga.
"Observe carefully. This is destiny. The reason you stand alive and well while that branch member is dead because of destiny. Certain beings will always stand above." He said.
"I understand, Father." I said as I signaled his aid to hand me over something to clean my hands.
Despite everything, blood is filthy.
It feels like a jelly water but with iron smell.
"Take your time to clean yourself and come to dining hall for the feast today." He said with a faint smile.
"You are now a proud main family Hyuga."
...
"Hand me your sword for a minute, Ichi." I said as I looked at Ichi.
These were the codenames I gave to them.
Ichi and Ni.
I took his sword and tried to push chakra inside it, making a double coil pattern inside, one for push chakra inside and the other to pull it back in.
Some chakra dispersed while other was released. I quickly drained my reserved as the sword rang a bit, creating some shimmering sound.
Both of them were a little surprised from the looks of it.
"Master, your chakra is quite potent and pool is fairly large as well. No ninjas are able to do something like that when their chakra was unlocked." Ni said.
"Surely you jest. This is but a parlor trick." I said as I gave him his sword back and headed to the dining hall to attend the feast.
It's going to be a long day...ain't it?
