Chapter 143: The Ending

In the end there was a goddess. She lived again in the sun and flowers. Her name was Minea. She had loved and been loved, and she had betrayed and been betrayed, but she was happy.

She had six children whom she loved dearly, three sons and three daughters.

Onicent did not give up his throne to Maiguh, though the others wished him too. It was mutual, for Maiguh did not desire to be king. Instead he committed to the most important role of all, ensuring Craftus never rose again. The pieces of Craftus were stored in the End. Minea had warned them one day he would return again, they would have to be ready.

As for Balyn, she was trapped in the body of one of her spiky fish, they named her the Elder Guardian. Dauntice built her a temple beneath the sea where she brooded.

Ilodeena was accepted back into the council, for Epis told of her bravery against Xeo. Amos was restored to his position as well, he remembered little of what had happened.

Naturally Sonnis and Neron stayed together, there would be distrust in Sonnis for a time, but it helped that she had taken down Balyn. She would be mostly forgiven and even offered a place on the council, instead she gave it to her son. Dio would join with Iyora and together they would form a council of twelve.

Not long after Maiguh was wed to Elsbeth. Their wedding was a joyous occasion that was attended by the entire family, together they were King and Queen of the End. Alora was unhappy to let go of her child but soon enough accepted it. As for the daughters of Maiguh, they were all released, Nevlin, Dinetee and Endra all became guides to the dead as well as messengers.

Epis himself thought of returning to Aris's village but heeded Maiguh's words and left her be. Overtime he healed, though he never did love again.

Many more children would be born to all the families. Soon the entire world was filled with young gods and goddess's, together they created and shaped their world. Their names so numerous they were impossible to remember.

The world grew under their creativity.

But before all this happened, there had been one family member missing. No one ever saw Ianin again.

Somewhere deep below the earth, a group of silverfish scuttled their way home. When they reached the location, Ianin found Araia's room restored, but Araia herself was absent.

He turned back into his human form, feeling odd and walked to the wall. He pressed his palm to it, and deep below its surface felt a warm feeling.

He knew she was there still, and he would wait for her.

[The End]

A/N: Thank you so much to everyone who read all the way to the end. I hope you all enjoyed reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. When I started I never imagined this story would grow so much and become so colourful and complex. I am thankful to all my friends and family who believed in me. A thank you to the top three givers of power stones, Augustonian, Ebola_Bird and Blueberry13, as well as anyone else who left a comment or vote, truly those helped me keep going. I am sad to see this story end, but true as that is, the end of one is the beginning of another story. (And believe me, I have lots of new ideas!).
