Chapter 125: Sonnis and Onicent
Onicent was still rattled by that action when suddenly there was a scream from outside.
A few of the nymphs came running inside. "Monsters!" They cried. Immediately Onicent shifted to being alert. Though it was already too late. Sonnis came walking in, a wide grin on her face and murder in her eyes.
"I have been waiting for this for a long time," she said quietly. "How dare you have done what you have done to me! You will pay!" She screamed.
Onicent was up and his feet quickly. He drew out a sword, but Sonnis fought with her magic. Onicent was blasted with water and nearly lost his balance. He summoned blocks to his side but Sonnis was quicker. She twirled her wand causing lava to fill the part of the room where Onicent stood. Onicent created a pillar of blocks and ran across the top of it jumping off nearly to fall in more lava.
"I'll burn the whole palace to the ground!" She laughed. Then hesitated slightly as if remembering something, "what have you done with him? Where is he?"
"Who?" Onicent asked, he was forced to dodge across the find an area without lava.
"MY SON!" Sonnis screamed, the lava she had created spun around her.
"Sonnis, stop." Rissa cried. She was half dragging herself into the room. Sonnis, with hatred burning in her eyes paused and looked at Rissa, the fire faded making her seem confused. Just then Onicent gained footing again and summoned a wall of obsidian that closed in around Sonnis. Sonnis screamed in rage but was trapped within, the lava drained away. Onicent seemed to be compressing it inwards crushing Sonnis inside.
"Father don't you'll kill her!" Rissa pleaded with him. "This isn't her fault! She was tricked! Don't do this!"
Onicent still had a blaze in his eyes but paused. The cage was still in place, and Sonnis thrashed around inside.
"Father, Sonnis thinks you are holding her son hostage!" Rissa explained, "the Ender Dragon has been playing with her mind, he's been playing with all of us! This isn't going to help Airabella or anything else."
Rissa was sounding stronger and stronger.
She walked boldly up to the obsidian cage spoke to Sonnis. "You've been tricked," Rissa told her, and lying just slightly she added, "and so was I. The Ender Dragon will harm your family and mine Sonnis. Onicent isn't holding your son hostage. Craftus was using you and I. The minute I did anything to the contrary to their plans they poisoned me!"
Sonnis had slowed down her thrashing but did not answer Rissa.
Rissa turned to Onicent, "this is your fault too." Suddenly she was overcome with the pain from the poison, she collapsed to the floor. "Walking.. here.. was to... much." She said, then she saw something else, "Daddy.. Look out."
Amos had come up behind Onicent, he was holding a shiny sword, dressed in battle armour, he slashed Onicent's back, Onicent stumbled and the prison that held Sonnis broke.
Sonnis approached Onicent with a glint in her eyes.
"Sonnis.... Please..." Rissa said.
Sonnis glanced down at her, and for a moment her eyes seemed to fade back.
"Very good my love," Ilo said. She had been standing just outside the doorway. "Let us finish the job."
