Chapter 1: CHAPTER 1 : THE PROM NIGHT
Some high school boys were gather after school hours outside the school's gate, they laughing and joking to each other, even made some bets on the card game.
Johny :"Hey guys have you got the girls for the prom night ?"
Victor :"Not yet boss, do you have some plans ?"
Johny :"I want to take Julia, but do you have any idea how to make her go with me ?"
Donnie :"You should conquer her tiger best friend first !"
Johny :"Who is she ?"
Victor :"She's Francine Lin, she's the leader. She's a freak girl, don't you dare to play with her, she learn karate, she's good at playing basket ball also. But not easy to win her heart, who want to make a bet on her ?" No one dare to ask her out.
Donnie :"I think I know someone who can take her out, he's a freak too !"
Victor :"Who ?"
Donnie :"He's Garry Lou ! He likes to make some jokes, he even dare challenged our teacher once."
Victor :"You're right I know that guy ! Call him here Don !"
Donnie and his friends were spread out back to the school's yard trying to find Garry, after a while they found him and take him to their place. Johny told him about their plan to take some girls for the prom night, but before that he wanted to make sure Garry could take Francine with him. Garry finally agreed to the bet, if he could take her to the prom night then he could win the bet money.
Johny "If you can take her to the prom night you'll get $100 from us."
The next day Garry started his mission, he tried to approached Francine, he sat beside her at the cafetaria, even sent her a letter asking her to go out, but she just threw the letter on the garbage can. Garry had tried for a week, but got rejected by her all the time. One day he planned to confessed to her on the basket ball hall while she was practicing. To started his act, he sang Can't Take My Eyes of You on the loudspeaker and mentioned Francine's name in his song. When Francine heard it she got embarrassed, she left the field and started to chase him and to stop him singing on the loudspeaker, but Garry ran fast to avoid her and he kept on singing. All the girls and boys were laughing and shouting for them, they all supporting Garry, when he finished his song he finally knelt down in front of her with a rose on his hand for her and ask her to go to prom night together with him.
Garry :"Francine I like you, will you go to prom night with me ?"
All students were shouting "Say yes .... say yes .... say yes...." Francine just wanted to stopped him from embarrassing her, but she got flattered also, finally she said yes to him. Everyone were clapping and cheering for them.
Victor reported the good news to Johny, and Johny got started his mission now, he's approaching Julia and asked her to go to prom night together with him. At first Julia rejected him, but he kept on persuade her "You said before if Francine will go you too. You know now Francine will go with Garry right ? Will you go with me ?" Finally Julia couldn't refuse him.
After agreed to go to prom night with Garry, Francine got anxious now, cause she didn't have any gown to wear for the prom night, and she's not from rich family. Her father rarely came home because he worked at other city, her mom only work as helper at the restaurant near their house. She asked her friend Julia about the dress.
Fran :"Hi Jules, have you got any dress for the prom ?"
Julia :"Yeah, my mom had prepared it for me. How about you ?"
Fran :"You know I don't have any proper dress, just some old fashion wear. Do you have other dress ? Can I borrow it ?"
Julia :"I think I have one, it's my sister's, but she didn't want it anymore, come let's try it."
Fran :"Really is it OK with your sister ?"
Julia :"Yeah, I'm sure, she always likes to wear new dresses, she won't look again to the old one."
After some time, Fran went out wearing her sister dress.
Julia :"Wow it fits you well ! It looks nice to you, just take it to your home."
Fran :"Thank you Jules. I'll return it to you after I wash it."
Julia :"It's OK no need to rush. By the way, do you think Garry's confession to you was sincere ?"
Fran :"I don't know, I'm not sure either. But at least I have a partner to go to prom night. Actually I don't like parties like that, but since I've got a partner I should go right ?"
Julia :"Yeah, just consider it for the last time together with high school friends. Just have some fun girls !"
Fran :"OK I go home first."
On the D day, Garry was ready in front of her house at six with his tux, he escorted her using his father's car. When they got into the banquet hall it was crowded already, the MC had started the event with performing on the stage to chose the king and queen for that night. Johny and Julia were there before Garry and Francine, when they saw Garry came they welcomed him and took him to the corner "Wow you're really great Garry, you finally succeeded bring her here, here's the money you won ! Just take her to the motel after this hahaha....." They all laughed out loud. Someone heard about their bet, and it came to Julia's ear also. At first she didn't dare to broke her best friend's heart, but she didn't want her best friend got harm any further, so she told her about the bet before they went home. Francine got very mad, she went to Garry to ask about it, Garry admit it in the end, she slapped his face. Then she went out in tears to find a taxy to go home. Garry chased her out and asked her to go home with him, but she refused him. Garry was very sad now, he felt guilty to her, he decided to ask for apologize to her the next day. But she refused to see him, she was to embarrassed and too upset. Garry went to her house for three days in rows, on the third day he met her mom and he leaved her a letter, it said that he actually didn't fell in love with her at first but he fell for her in the end and asking to apologize him, he would wait for her the whole day on that day. Her mom persuaded her to apologize him and asked her to meet him.
Francine's heart finally melted, she met him that afternoon in front of her house.
Fran :"Ok I forgive you, you may go home now."
Garry :"If you really forgive me, let me hug you ?"
Fran :"No need !"
Garry :"Then I take it as you haven't forgave me."
Fran she hug him and cried on his chest, then she hit his chest :"Why did you so cruel to me ?"
Garry :"I'm sorry, please don't cry anymore !" He wiped her tears from her cheeks.
Francine stopped crying she pushed his body away :"I've forgive you now, satisfied ? But I don't want to be your girl friend ! If we're destined to each other we'll see each other again someday !"
Garry :"Are you planning to go somewhere ?"
Francine :"Yes"
Garry :"Where ?"
Francine :"Maybe I'll go to my brother's place in the city. I want to find some work there, I need some money to study in university someday."
Garry :"You're indeed a good girl, you have vision for your life, not like some ordinary students !"
Fran :"How about you ?"
Garry :"Me ? I'm not interested on studying, maybe I'll just help my father's farm."
Fran :"Ok, good luck for you !"
Garry :"Bye Fran, nice to know you ! Hope you'll be succeed in your life."
Fran :"Thank you"
