"So your jealousy caused you to betray someone you cared about?" He asked coldly.

The young woman looked away, biting her lip. "Yes."

A low chuckle escaped Tristan's throat. "You should be careful of whom you trust around here. There are plenty of people willing to use others for their own benefit."

"You're not wrong about that." She whispered, turning her gaze to look at him once more.

"What exactly do you want from me?" She asked cautiously.

"Information. Information that I am sure you possess. If you do not wish to answer, you may leave." Tristan stated it firmly.

"Fine." She replied, gritting her teeth. "But if I tell you anything, you'll let me go?"

"Of course. We can still be friends afterwards." Tristan assured her.

She considered the offer carefully.

"Okay, but you won't hurt me?" She asked nervously.
