FIRST PERSON'S POV (Cole)

(Flashback)

I woke up with a sense of dread this morning, my chest vibrating as my heart thudded rapidly. My eyes squinted shut, I held my chest and took two deep breaths hoping to calm myself, but it was to no avail.

I knew what was going on, but I decided to ignore it. The seer's voice and words echoed in my mind.

“ On the first day of the red moon, death shall take either you or your brother. You shan't survive if you go after the King, if you do decide to go you need to decide which of you will die” her sing-song voice echoed and a banshee-like scream brought me back to reality.

I know I should tell Kade what the seer said, but if I do, he'll worry, and he won't let me go with him. I just have to keep it to myself and act like everything is well. Of course, Kade is not a fool, he can pick up on anything odd and investigate from the little information he has and get answers. It will be difficult to keep this secret from that fucker.
