“She is the one. The one you have all been dying to know about.”
Sinacore stunned everyone by walking straight toward me. He held my shoulder with one hand, smiled mysteriously and confidently, and turned around to face the swarm of reporters. His auburn messy hair and emerald eyes shone like wildfire under the afternoon sun.
A hushed silence suddenly fell over the media mob. They stood baffled, bewildered, probably confused, and utterly speechless. Only an occasional whisper could be heard from the group standing before me with cameras and microphones in hand.
I glanced at Rebecca from the corner of my eye. Her mouth was agape, and her eyes looked like they would fall out of their sockets. She was as stunned as the rest of the crowd. And I was no exception either.
I knew this moment was coming. But I had no idea it would come so soon.
