"Are you sure you got this thing from the manager?" Lindsay asked Betty skeptically—the object seemed to have nothing to do with games.

"Yeah, I asked the manager for the game cartridge at noon, and he told me to fetch it myself. But unexpectedly, he moved its original spot," Betty pouted, as she had been looking forward to playing Mario today.

"Betty is always so Betty~" Lindsay laughed heartily before looking up at the projected image.

"Do you feel anything?" Lindsay turned and asked.

"Huh? No, what happened?" Betty looked around, feeling fine except for a slight stomachache—she'd need to visit the restroom soon.

"Nothing." Lindsay frowned; she could confirm that there was indeed a curse within the plate, but after looking at these meaningless things, the curse hadn't taken effect yet.

That left Lindsay a bit disappointed; even the weakest devil couldn't mess up a curse like this.
