Chapter 75: He’s really weak

[Today's news:

The building rooftop is damaged in several areas. The constriction employees said that it wasn't their fault. It hasn't been proven that it wasn't their fault. However, the specialist believes that it couldn't have been done by them as the damage was more impactful although the police hadn't taken it into account. They likely closed the investigation. The alley next to it is also damaged. The road was upside down by an enormous amount of force. For further information follow us in----]

"Can you turn the tv off Kelan?" Mr. Heiress asked as he entered the department. The Tv was on for the news to get to us. It was atop placed by two large plates of metal. Mr. Heriss knew I had the Tv remote so he asked me. I turned it off as he ordered. However, He was not alone. Someone was following him behind. His appearance was enough to get Kelan suspicious. That man was indeed a detective. The long coat, a small handy diary for writing down quick information, the old rusty gun that was peeking behind his coat was eagerly waiting for a shot. He entered and glanced all around, without making any eye contact with any of us. They glazed all the surround including my knives for at least sixty seconds. I could feel the chills he's giving. Like always I made a wide smile. It's my usual appearance, always smile so that no one gets suspicious of you.

Now that an unexpected visitor had got into our space, everyone looked at him with great wonder as if he's an alien or something.

"Don't worry about them." Wait, them? As Mr. Heriss said that I looked behind that detective and found another person who doesn't seem like he liked this kind of bloody stuff. He was undoubtedly avoiding all over those by looking down. A weak-hearted human, I see.

"They just here to investigate for a case. Don't mind him and get your work done otherwise you have to work overnight." Somehow I felt like a corporate worker. Whatever it's not like I had many things to wrap up. We then again concentrated on our doings while the man and his weak-hearted acquaintance advanced with their so-called investigation. They first examined the whole area little by little. The weak-hearted one was scared at first but he quickly adjusted and began taking notes in his diary. Detectives have to go through many hardships, don't they?

For example, even if you hate gore stuff, you would still need to investigate that kind of place regardless of your fears. I mean if you have higher authority on your side you might get off the hock. That's just an exceptional case. Not all can be the chief's son or daughter. I nonchalantly sliced through the meat that had a lot of fat in it. As the meat divided itself from the other half, my bare eyes met with the detective. He was looking at me intensely. I didn't notice it earlier but his eyes were filled with excitement as if the child got himself another toy to play with. I smiled at her acting normal and then concentrated back on my work. This time I didn't look in any direction and stayed in my range of sights. In that matter of time, My glazed was snatched by that man again. He was right before my very eyes looking directly at me without blinking for once. I was also doing the same. Timepass by we kept looking at each other as I find curiosity in his dark circled eyes. The eyelashes were long yet short. The winkles were visible at this close. The rough and smooth edges of his old face were kind of getting a tense feeling. To break the silence I took the initiative.

"Um…. Do… DO you need anything?" I was kind of nervous at the same time curious. For better or worse I was on my guard. Whatever happened he can't get through me. Detectives are scary. They had to be scary as they fight monsters. The creature everyone fears for. They can't just sit in their seat doing nothing. Most of the time Mr.Heriss deal with this kind of thing alone. But for some reason today was exceptional.

"Apparently, Yes. I need to get some information about Jodan. You know him right?"

"Mr. LUkas you can't just scare them like that?" It was not Mr. Herriss who said it was his acquaintance who complained.

"Well, I was just asking him some important questions. Didn't I?" He threw that one to me. "Y-Yeah" I nodded slightly.

"So, you're name is Kelan, right?"

I nodded in agreement.

"Can you come to the side for a moment? It wouldn't take too long?" After asking like that I can't just decline it. I went out of my slot and stood a bit distanced from the area. He unconditionally followed in my footsteps. Of course, he had his sidekick beside him. This is really a troublesome thing.

"Sorry for the inconvenience." He apologized.

"N-No, that's not a problem. It's okay."

"Where's Jodan hiding?" Huh? I came out of nowhere. Did he get through our plan? After all, Mr. Heriss came with this more or less.

"I don't understand what do mean by that?" I didn't put down my mask. The mask of a loop of smiles. I created it through many years of practice. I believe it more than anything. After all, No customers were able to tell it apart.

"Just drop the act." Even if he says that. I wouldn't drop the act.

"Mr. Lukas?" His assistance said with a lot of amusement. He was shocked along with me.

"Huh? What happened?" He said as if he wasn't in his self a moment ago.

"You can't just force yourself on others." His acquaintance said with his eyebrow crossed. He had an angry poker look on his face.

"Oh right! I'm extremely sorry for that." He apologized again.

"it's okay. You should often take a rest from your work. I don't want to be rude but you're getting old."

"It's true I'm but my prediction isn't." That was an unusual answer.

"Okay, How's Jodan at work?"

"To tell you the truth, he's really weak and extremely frugal to handle. As a fellow worker here he had a hard time adjusting to the environment.

Chapter 76: How much time its been?

"This...this is absurd. I was told to fight that Jodan. But where did his friends come from? This isn't how it should be. Tch. Tch."

I held my gut with my right and supported myself with my left hand by the wall. This is the first time I had beaten like this. I'm not gonna let you live Jodan. You're gonna pay for it. Well, I got a worthy opponent at least. If not it would be a waste of my time. The bleeding wasn't stopping by any means. No matter what I'm not gonna die here. I regret fleeing from the battleground. It was a tactical retreat. I can't help but blame myself.

"If only...if only his friends were not there I would have crushed him beneath my foot like ants." I have to kill him until I face Kurama. He would just laugh at me if I meet him now. That truly irritates me.

How much time its been? I wondered about how things began from my end. I was so small yet determined. I was naive. I washed my hands with none other blood. The number of people I killed is uncountable. I intentionally forget to count because it would burden me more. The more you take lives the more you got into darkness. Even today I clearly remember every single detail of that. The day when my parents were slaughtered. I know they aren't my biological parents but they loved me like one. They took care of me as if I'm their child. Not to mention we were so happy to have them back. Fate is a cruel thing, isn't it? That's why I don't believe in it. It is an unreasonable piece of shit. My mother's last word was something I can't forget. Not being able to do anything was my biggest regret. However, I was weak. Even if I tried, I would just be killed. The sacrifice of father and mother would go in vain. From a normal kid's perspective, it's a cruel thing to do. But I did what's best that time. I wasn't so driven by emotions like other humans. You could say because I was raised by parents that weren't human.

Unable to stand any longer, I sat down against the brick wall. I'm now in an underground train station. There's not a single soul here. It's because the train service has been shut down. CPA-4 is the worst place to live. There's nothing here compared to other CPAs. I took out my phone and called someone. After finishing the call with small talk, I threw the phone away from me.

For now, I should take some rest here. That lighting was so powerful I could die from it but I'm alive because I took the initiative and saved my ass a minute ago. If only that Brazzers lighting fell straight on me, I would burn to a crisp by now.

The underground king. Huh? What kind of title is that? All I just did was took control of some lonely half-assed monsters and bang it's all mine. After that, the first thing I did was to find that bastard who killed my parents. To my coincidence that man was out of order before I knew it. Apparently, he was thrown out of his power by the new man he assigned in the place of my father. He had great confidence in himself. But there's a saying.

"Karma is a bitch."

What you did to others would come back to you by any means. Not only he was thrown apart from his power, but he was also threatened. I took the chance to get some juice out of him. I formed my army and search the entire CPA to find him. He was hiding in a corner to save himself. It made me laugh, the one who was once the most influential man is now hiding. Look how hard he got there. I was finally able to find him. His face was all in fear as I approached. He called out in fear and it made me so joyful.

"Who...who...who..are..you?!" I noticed that he couldn't stand as he was constantly trying the change the direction of his wheelchair. But I was not good. I hold his wheelchair with both hands and stopped it by force. I had a devilish grin on my face. It was the face of revenge. I can't let him ran away like that. I had to kill him.

"W-What ? What do you want? Money?" As he said that he took out a bag from a nearby cabinet and opened it. It was filled with money. Probably more than I could imagine. It's funny, people want to value their life with money. His throbbing winkled hands went in and brought the bundle of notes.

"T-Take everything! Take everything and leave." As I wasn't doing anything and just grinning at him, he threw the notes at me one after one. Seeing him tremble like this made my heart race. How thrilling!

"G-Gold? Take everything from that drawer. E-everything and spare me." I was enjoying it so much.

"M-Money? Gold? I don't need these petty things. What I need is your life."

Hearing that he's eyes widen.

"It's no fun killing you without telling the reason. Let's start."

I took out the handcuffs I brought earlier and locked his wheelchair handle with the table next to him. The room was actually his study room. I ambushed him so neatly that he hadn't had time to flee.

"Aa-ahh!"

"Don't shout I'm not gonna kill you yet." For I moment I got confused if he's the real dude. But I recalled my memories and confirmed it.

"So, I'm the child you weren't able to kill." He seemed confused. His forehead was flooded with sweat. Being old has its own problem.

"Remember the couple you killed. Remember it." I moved my hand simultaneously to help him remember.

"H-Helena….F-Finn? You're that human child?"

"Bingo! That's right. You got 10 out of 10!"

His face darken knowing the truth. He was shaken by the truth.

"Y-You are alive!"

"Yeah! I am and I'm here to get my revenge. Isn't that amazing?" I asked but he didn't answer. No, he could utter a single word.

"So, you have grown big. It's surprising." What? He got calm in a moment. He probably realized that nothing can be done now. He gave up his life.

"Okay! Time to end this." I took out my blade and began swinging.

"Hahahah! Hahahah! This is fun! Isn't it?"

"Where's your power now?" I asked to a dead collapse while swinging my blade right and left. I laughed unconditionally.

This was the first time I had fun killing. It was so damn fun.

"B-Boss." My underlings approached me from the right. He was probably shocked to see me in such a state.

"Don't make a fuss. Hurry up and take me."

As I said that he held me up by hand.

"Ah! Slowly you bastard." I shouted as he was doing it first.

"But you have to hurry.." His face was full of worry.

"Don't worry over something this trivial. Compared to what I have endured this is nothing."

"You should have called me earlier boss."

"Tch" I ended this pointless conversation and we began going forward.

I'm not giving up Jodan. One day I would crush you with my own hand.
