Once there lived a monster in a wild forest. There was a village near the forest. The villagers were afraid of him. The monster didn't want any harm. He just wanted to be friends with the villagers. But the villagers were too afraid to befriend him. One day while hunting in the forest the villagers encountered the monster. The monster was crying with its heart out. The villagers felt pity for him. Even with knowing that the monster could kill them anytime, the villagers grabbed their courage and went near the monster. They asked the monster, "Why are you bawling?" The monster didn't answer. The villagers added, "Are you perhaps hungry? Do you need food? If you want, we can give you some." The monster sat quietly. The villagers decided to leave him as the monster didn't answer them. They were felt sad as they live. The emotion ran wild inside them. What might be the reason? What could have bothered him? They thought. As they were about to live the monster stood up. The monster had finally stood on his feet. Despite having a large body, he moved his legs without any restrictions.
Was it just my imagination or I could feel his pain. The pain of betrayal. The indescribable agony. Jodan was crying as his heart tearing apart. Unwantedly a drop of water fell from my eyes.
"It...it. .can't be...it...can't be true…" Even if he was trying his best to convince himself with the lies. Deep inside he knows that all of it is nothing but false hope. The cold-hearted Mr. Lukas didn't pity him for once.
"Do you still think she loved you? Don't make a fool of yourself Jodan. I told you the truth. There's no hope in there. Just tell us where is that system." Jodan wasn't answering. To be more precise, he wasn't able to answer because of his heavy sobbing. People cry three ways. The first one is a quiet cry. It means you cry and tears fall from your eyes, No talks nothing just tears. The next one is loud. As its name sound, you will be labeled as a loud or nosy crying baby If you were making out irritated. The final one is pathetic crying. You could see someone crying as if they had lost their motive for life. They lost all the hopes they had. It's quite rare to see someone crying like that. For the first time, I had witnessed it with my eyes. Jodan's crying was the rarest one. He was loud but also quiet at the same time. He would mumble "Jessica… Jessica… tell me it's ...not ..true" from time to time. His legs and arms were not fully regenerated or perhaps he stopped the regeneration. I could only guess. "Make your mind Jodan! This isn't time for your pity crying. I know you can't feel emotion. You people don't have any empathy." Mr. Lukas had a disgusted look on his face. "quit the act. I'm fade up with this." However, Jodan didn't stop rather he continued more intensely.
How does feeling betrayed felt like? Is it that painful? Perhaps it's just a fraction of what Jodan was showing. I asked myself the question. As a human, I also don't know what it felt because I never got in such trouble. Jodan was a veteran in this field. He is like a king of pain. He had suffered so much pain from the past few weeks and still hasn't uttered the truth. How much more do we have to do until he reveals himself to us? Even Mr. Lukas didn't know the answer to that question.
Mr. Lukas threw the file onto the table beside him and gazed at me in a tired expression. "Let's take a rest, Reyes. It seems we wouldn't get any out of him right now." I nodded in agreement. Jodan was indeed in an unstable phase. He was laughing at him from time to time and crying in the middle. What the heck with him? It's getting creepy! I averted my sights unable to see it anymore. It's already lunchtime. I wonder what show I have today. But at that very moment, something happened.
Mr. Lukas became serious all of a sudden. "Reyes take this and go next room and press the red button." Out of nowhere, Mr. Lukas ordered me. This was unexpected. Mr. Lukas never asked me to do anything out of contrast.
"B-But why?" I asked in a panic. "just do it!" Despite not wanting to leave him alone, I rushed to the door, unlocked it, and was running at a full speed to the next room. I could see Mr. Lukas's face as the door was closing automatically. I felt as if this is gonna be my last time seeing his face. The cold-hearted looks on his face weren't the same today. It was mixed with a bit of worriedness. Mr. Lukas making a call to someone that I couldn't grasp. The door finally closed fully and I couldn't tell what's on the other side now. I reached the room and pressed the red button hurriedly. A siren went loud all around the prison. But something louder than a siren happens right after. An earthquake? Whatever it was the prison guards went running near the destruction. Within a minute I could hear the same sounds but this time it happened close to me. As I glanced at the CCTV footage that connects to the torture cell, the untold thing that we could never expect happened. The door was shattered into large pieces. Smoke covered the entire room. The lights kept flickering. The CCTV was glitching here and there but I was lucky enough to see through it. Mr Lukas was still in his old position but he took a fighting posture. It looked as of he was trying to protect Jodan from some unknown person. You could call this very moment,
"Prison Broke out."
Everyone looked surprised. They felt fear seeing the massive body of the monster. They were throbbing in fear. However, the monster didn't move. He stood still. Time passes the monster didn't appear to stand in his designated place. The villagers began leaving the forest as the night was about to fall. The monster followed their steps. If the villagers took one step forward, the monster would do the same. In the words, he was imitating the villagers. Finding it weird the villagers stood still and asked again, "Do you need anything? If not then don't follow us." This time the monster spoke out in a quiet manner.
Sobbing earlier made his eyes bright red. It was glowing in the dark night and it terrifies the villagers. However, they still felt empathy towards the monster. It's a common nature of humans.
The mist atmosphere made Mr. Lukass chilly. The door had fully fallen apart. Mr. Lukas wasn't prepared for this sudden turn of events. In the middle of the gust of winds, a human figure went visible. No, it would be wrong to say just one person. It was many of them. They slowly were stepping into the torture room. Mr. Lukas's eyes widen with surprise, In his eyes, the entire sequence was happening in slow motion. The concrete falling from the ceiling, the wind passing him. The dust filled the entire room. The intense amount of light coming out of the broken part of the cell. No matter how you look at it. It's pretty much impossible for someone to break the mechanical high-tech door. Even if they spend an entire day figuring it out. The lock changes its pattern every single day. They were fading in. Mr. Lukas's surprised face remained not for long, it changed into a grin as the first person he saw.
"I see, this is the world-famous Kurama, Isn't it?" Mr. Lukas knew about him because he was infamous for his doings.
"And You must be the cheap detective, aren't you?" Kurama said sluggishly. He didn't give any damn to Mr. Lukas who was awarded the best detective in CPA-4 not long ago.
One after one all the members of 'Thirsty wolves' became visible.
"So, you came with your team?" Mr. Lukas stood nonchalantly as if it doesn't bother him at all. But deep inside he knew that this time he can't win against all the monsters standing before him.
Mr. Lukas was nervous but he didn't show it slightest.
On the other hand, Reyes was in the next room seeing this from the monitor. As he took a step to save Mr. Lukas, He noticed that Mr. Lukas was glazing at him by the CCTV, tilting his head, making a negative gesture, telling Reyes not to come for him. That way he would also be killed.
"Let me clear things first. I came here to take that boy behind you." As expect Kurama came here for a solo reason. To take Jodan with him.
"I see, but I can't let you do that."
"Well, be my guest and DIE!" As Kurama said that a sudden attack came from him, It was so sudden that Mr. Lukas couldn't avoid it. He took the bow head-on. He threw into the corner but didn't go unconscious. He was determined to fight until the bitter end. This would be his greatest fight. The villain in his life was none other than Kurama. In his most of his life span, he used to find Kurama but wasn't able to find me anywhere. But look at today, he came to him walking with his own legs. This was the luckiest day for Mr. LUkas. He pulled himself up and took out his old rusty gun. It would look rusty from outside but inside it was as good as new. It is his long-lasting friend. Mr. Lukas had fought many battles with this friend of his. He aimed it at Kurama holding it with both hands. By looking it seems he was injured in one hand, making it difficult to aim.
"You haven't given up? Look how much passion he has for this police job. Let me give you a chance." Kuram loved to tease people. "I would let you live if you act like a dead body. Remember the story of two friends. One acted as dead in front of the bear. You just have to be that friend." However, Mr. Lukas wasn't someone who would run away from the villain of his life.
"If I was a common human I would have accepted this foolish offer from you but I'm just a detective."
"You're just a detective? haha...That's a lame reason. I didn't know detectives are humorists." Kurama laughed with his mouth open and revibrated the entire cell.
A prison guard approved from outside the room. "Mr. LUkas? Are you okay?"
But that moment was the biggest mistake in his life. "Wait, Wh----"
"You haven't killed this one?" Kurama said with a pissed expression.
"Sorry, I might have missed," Alex said with downcast eyes. "OK, Okay, just kill him now. saying that Kurama again faced Mr. Lukas. Mr. Lukas wanted to save him but couldn't because there wasn't anyway.
"Just kill him in the most pathetic way possible. " As a human Kurama knew Mr. Lukas couldn't but do something for the guard and Kurama loved to use it against him, He wanted to play dirty.
"Fiona! KILL Him!" At the moment a grin formed on Fiona's face.
"~My, ~My, It comes down to me~" As the guard found out that he was in a tight position he began to run at full speed.
"~Where are you running? Dear,~~~"
"Y-You people are not---" Fiona didn't let him finish him and slammed his hand onto his mouth, "SHHH!~ Don't talk." Then she was about to use his ability to tear the body of the guard inside out but at that very moment, she was held back.
"BANG!" A bullet flew towards her but it didn't touch her as he used her gravity manipulation ability to block it.
"Leave him." Mr. Lukas finally made a move. After all, he was still a human. A normal human can't possibly see this disturbing scene. He made his first move.
"OH! what surprising bravery. You finally acted as a hero. COngratulation." Kurama said with a surprised expression.
