Chapter 65: Learning About Magic

I tried to ignore the feelings that were roiling inside of me. I tried not to let them all get to me. Instead, I figured that it would be best for me to go to the library and look for another book to read. I didn't really get to read that one yesterday, unless you counted the first line.

"I wonder if I can find that same book again. I hope so, I want to read what it has to say about light magic."

When I went into the library, I started to scan the shelves, looking intently for that same cover that I had seen yesterday. I couldn't find the book, but there were quite a few more gaps in the shelves than there had been yesterday. Perhaps Isaiah had come in here and taken some books.

Also, the book that I was holding yesterday had fallen to the floor during Susanna's attack. Could it be that the book had been ruined from the, uhm, mess that had been caused by the encounter? I would feel horrible if I had ruined Isaiah's book like that.
