Chapter 70: Uneasy

The conversation at the milk tea shop continued with an easygoing flow.

Just as the mood seemed to settle into a comfortable rhythm, the door to the milk tea shop swung open with a loud creak. A middle-aged man with a slightly receding hairline and a stern expression walked in. He was dressed in a well-pressed suit, looking rather out of place in the casual atmosphere of the small shop. The moment Lena's eyes landed on him, her expression changed instantly. The bright smile vanished, replaced by a tense, almost apprehensive look.

"Boss," Lena said quietly, quickly getting up from her seat. She glanced back at Jack and DL apologetically. "I'm sorry, I need to go for a moment."
