Chapter 307: Long Night

I sat by the bed next to Leo's unconscious body and stared right into his soft and emotionless face, waiting for the other to wake up. As I waited, I could not help but feel like the person laying defenseless before me looked as etheral as that of a sleeping beauty. The longer I stared, the more I felt my anger diminish. Finally, I couldn't help but shake my head in order to steel my heart again as I continued to wait patiently for the other to awaken from his long slumber.

After more than an hour, I started to feel slightly worried, thinking that I might have overdid it and used too much force when knocking Leo unconscious. As I thought of this, I couldn't help but let out a look of concern as I softly placed the back of my hand against Leo's cheek. However, it was at this time that Leo's eyes slowly opened, the azure color shining through and penetrating straight into my soul.
