Chapter 268: Lonely Hunter

[Going back to Hunter's POV for the past few days]

The feeling of emptiness did not go away. In fact, it seemed to have burrowed into my psyche deeply and is slowly eating me on the inside. The feeling was quite uncomfortable at first, but since I had steeled myself to not bother Leo anymore, I did not dare to seek Leo out anymore.

However, now that I sat alone in the living room, on a Wednesday afternoon, staring at the void, I realized how different it was without Leo. Usually, the house would be quite noisy either from the loud background music of the games that Leo usually plays. Otherwise, Leo would always find some enjoyment for himself, either surfing the net or doing something else. Thus, you could occasionally hear him ruffling here and there and sometimes laughing for no apparent reason.

Now though, there was only a cold silence within the entire house. Father still have not gone back from work, so I was back to being alone again.
