Chapter 270: Leo's Resolution

I had to admit that one of the reasons why I had avoided Leo was because I was afraid of him. I was afraid of hurting him but also afraid that he would be disappointed in me when he found out who I was. Therefore, even though I found myself to be alone again, I did not hate it too much because, even if I was not used to it, I would be able to protect Leo from afar.

However, seeing Leo so resolute as he hugged me was completely out of my expectations. Originally, I had wanted to push him away, but in the end, I could not manage to do so. There was a sort of familiarity and warmth that I felt from Leo that I just could not get away from. It was like a moth heading towards a flame. Although I had no idea what Leo's intentions were, in my mind, I was afraid that Leo might have unachievable expectations of me again. There are some things Leo want that I just could not give.
