Chapter 90: Bear

With my rational thought completely gone, my mind had completely shut itself down. I had turned into nothing more than a beast. With the night goggles on, I could clearly see the heat signature of the bear in front of me. It was making threatening gestures, acting quite alert. The bear roared at me a second time.

Normally a grizzy bear would not attack another person unless it felt threatened or provoked. However, I had clearly and thoughtlessly provoked it. Seeing the bear threatening me, I gave a wide grin. My heartbeat accelerated again, pumping more blood into my brain. I took out my gun and immediately shot a few bullets in the bear's direction, causing the bear to wail in pain.
