Being the defenders of the championship title, there is a much higher pressure towards our team since all of our opponents have done their research well beforehand. Therefore, we weren't able to snatch that final win in the end, losing by a single point at the last second. Instead, after getting our silver medals, I was given the MVP prize, which would look good for my university applications.

As we lost the game by such a tiny margin, everybody's mood was quite low as we packed our bags the morning after the finals to check out. Since the loss was still in my mind, I had completely forgotten about the existence of Kane when he had suddenly appeared before me again when we arrived at the airport.
