Chapter 106: You've got bolder

Pop was smiling from ear to ear when I finally came down from my room after dressing for the visit to my mother's grave. She looked so damn pleased with herself that it made me arch a brow in suspicion.

"Why are you happy?"

I sat down on the cushion next to her. Since Sly isn't down yet, I figured I can stay next to her, and wait for him.

"Why? Are you unhappy that I'm happy?"

"Your happiness just creeps me out. I don't know why, but I sense that you are not up to any good."

"When have I been up to any good?" She arched a brow at me.

"Thank God, you know you are always up to no good." I purse my lips, narrowing my eyes at her a bit.

"You are dressed fine. Where are you going? Don't tell me you are going on a date with my brother?"

"Is there anything wrong with that?" I gave my clothes a once over. I'm currently putting on black trousers and a blue shirt. My hair was slicked back with a gel.
