Chapter 12: Making a Home away from Home
With the skeletons around the place, it didn't take long for Kon and Junko to understand what happened. "I'm sorry for your loss." Kon said, feeling multiple emotions, but understanding Godzilla next to him.
"It is okay, it's been a long time anyway." The Gojira said, and with that turned to Kon and asked him, "Why are you here outsider? You helped me out which is why I didn't attack you, so I want to know as to why you are here." And with that Godzilla was just waiting for the answer.
Kon just looked the Gojira in the eyes and said, "I'm just here for the fun of it. I don't care much for who's leader since I'm not gonna be a part of it anyway. So if you want me to submit you won't ever be able to. But regardless I won't mess up anything either. Don't have to trust me but I can just leave faster than you have time to react," he said with a smug smile on his fox face.
Godzilla, feeling that Kon wasn't lying, just accepted it for now but would keep an eye on him.
Kon started to walk around the cavern that was....home to the remains of the Godzilla's family. As he did such he also saw remains of other species. 'So the war had already ended huh?' Kon remembering that there was a war that happened between the titans. Although that left the Gojira's and the Kong's. Both sides only left with one member as far as he knows. Others were also involved, but that also meant that King Ghidorah was also there on Earth, or at least asleep.
'I don't know if I can take on King Ghidorah, his regeneration was something freaky.' Kon just thinking of the ability to regenerate lost limbs and heads at mere moments. Finally having enough of the silence, Godzilla tells him, "Well since you are here, regardless if you want to or not you will have to fight the others. They don't care if you are friendly or not, they will still hunt you down just because they can."
Kon being brought back to reality, just nods and accepts the reminder. 'Yeah, I've had it too easy so far. I need to to get my head on straight. There was that weird thing that happened with the Pacific Rim world, there's a chance it could happen again. This time with something worse. Aaaaaand I just jinxed myself...{Sigh} well no use crying over spilled milk. Anyway, if I remember correctly there was that blue energy in the Ancestral Home of the Kong's, I'm gonna go check that out if I can find it.'
With everything basically being said between the two, Godzilla walking away, and with that left Kon and Junko confused. 'Why did he even bring me here if he wanted to talk. He could've just asked me up top.' Kon looked on in confusion. With a shrug he and Junko started to wander around the place. Leaving the home of the remains, they decided to just look around Hollow Earth.
"This place is beautiful, even though it's underground I don't feel unease with it." Junko said to Kon. "Yeah, well that's a good thing. Must be the wide open space, doesn't really let you even feel like it's small or tight." Kon replied.
They continued on their merry way when a couple of Warbats came out of no where and started to try and strangle Kon. Junko reacting in time moved out the way so that she wouldn't get crushed between the two massive creatures and Kon. Kon not reacting with his thoughts preoccupied, just started to reinforce his body with magic.
The two Warbats confused as to why their prey was still standing didn't react until Junko launched magic projectiles at them. Causing their attention to be brought to her allowed enough freedom for Kon to use his tails to pry between himself and the Warbats and reinforcing the tails even more, separated himself from them. After that he decided to try and just claw at them since he didn't know where Junko with the Warbats covering his face when she flew away. So melee combat for Kon it was. He didn't like it but it was something that he needed to practice on anyway and what better way than on two very deadly creatures attacking him.
With them now off him and with Junko off him too, he could finally use his speed to maneuver around the Warbats and jump on top of the smaller one. With the smaller one pinned underneath Kon, Kon bit into the back of the head of the winged snake and then reinforcing his teeth and jaws, dug his teeth into the skull and broke it. The smaller Warbat didn't have time to react, it died instantly having its spinal cord bitten through. With that Kon jumped off before the other Warbat could turn around. When the sound of the crack happened, the bigger Warbat turned around and saw it's partner dead. Enraged the monster rushed at Kon. Junko waiting for a good moment launched some more magic projectiles, and with them landing on the left side of the monsters face it took out its eyes.
The Warbat screeched in pain and rage and turned around trying to find Junko. And with that Kon took the chance to use his tails. By reinforcing them greatly and by twisting some of them together into a helix, rushed the tails as fast as he could and impaled the Warbat through the center. Having a massive hole in it's body, and with its spinal cord snapped couldn't move the lower part of its body, just landed on the ground and bleed out, having no ability to fight back.
"Well, that just happened." Kon said. He didn't really understand what he just did, taking another life. Regardless it was for self defense, but he couldn't feel anything about it. He looked at Junko who floated back over to him. "You okay?" Kon asked her, with her responding by nodding her head. She then just sat on his head again and they went on their way. They didn't realize that Godzilla had been watching them from afar, but he was impressed and curious as to how they were able to get rid of them so quickly. They then just continued on till they came upon another of the tunnels that leads between the outside world and Hollow Earth. They went back through the tunnel to the outside world.
"Hey, ya know what, why don't we use the Dungeon up here. We can control it now and change it how we see fit. Why don't we use it to make a nice little world to ourselves here? It's your choice." Kon asked Junko, knowing that it was a sensitive topic for her, and suggesting that she can change it how she sees fit.
Junko thinking for a moment, just looks at him and says, "I don't care much for it anymore. Since I gave it to you you do what you want. I don't wanna mess with it, but don't make it underground or anything. I don't want to go back to that place." Junko said, starting to wrap herself with her arms. Kon seeing this just uses one of his tails to move behind her and let her lay against it, not really bothering him at all to do it. Junko noticing, just accepts it and lays back to make herself more comfortable.
"Alright, I had an idea, I know that you don't like enclosed spaces, so I thought of a new place. Kind of like the Observatory, I was gonna make it high in the air, where no one can reach us without giving them the okay. I was thinking of turning into a floating paradise just for the two of us." Kon said with a smile on his face, thoughts already running through his mind of what he can do to make it more comfy for her. He knows that it's going to take a long time for her to get over her hatred for dark underground places. So having something out in the open would be better for her.
With that in mind now, Junko just smiled gratefully towards her partner. They both just accepting the silence now in comfort. With them finally reaching the other end of the tunnel, they walked out to an icy wasteland. "Ah, so this is Antarctica." Kon said. Junko having the feel of the cold but not affected by it all that much since she's a Spirit, can handle that much cold easily.
"Well, I have an Idea anyway of where I would like to go. To the mountains of Nepal!" Kon said excitedly. With a grin on his face, he moved on to the north. With Iroh guiding him from where he was he made it to the place pretty quickly. He could've just ran there without Junko and made a portal, but he wanted her to see the world as much as she could now. And with nothing bothering them on the way up, they were at peace there.
Once they got there, Kon switched forms back to his full human form. Junko a little upset pouted at not being able to mess with his ears or tail, and with his back to her couldn't see, but he could feel that she was upset with something. He turned around and looked at her, and she had her normal smile on her face.
"..." Kon just staring at her. She looked back at him.

"What's wrong?" Kon asked.
"Why don't you have your ears and tail out?" Junko asked him with a smile. Kon, not understanding why she would ask that, just said to her, "I just felt comfy like this, why do you want them out?" Kon asked with his head tilted slightly.
Junko just nodded with a blush. 'Cute,' she thought with that, and then without changing his pose or anything else Kon just let his ears and tails out, enhancing the cuteness to another few notches.
Junko blushed even more, and with that Kon understood what was going on and with a cheeky grin started to tease her about it. "Oh, someone upset they couldn't feel the fluff eh?"
Junko turning even redder pouted and turned her head, "No, just wondering why they weren't out." She started to walk ahead of him, and to mess with her more he called out to her.
"Hey, look at this." Kon said as he switched to his small fox form. Junko turning around to see the little ball of fluff just standing at the spot where Kon is supposed to be, she just stood there without breathing. 'Did I break her.' Kon thinking that, started to walk up to her, and Junko just followed him with her eyes, and before Kon could even react even with his focus on her, she blurred out of existence and next thing he knew he was in her arms getting smothered.
Kon, not having the capacity to think while being smothered the way he was, just let whatever happen. He wasn't thinking and pretty much had the Windows 98 sound effect playing in the background as his mind took the time to reboot and come to terms with where he was at.
He finally understood he was getting pressed up against his others chest, while also being hugged and having her face just rub against him. With that he started to freak out, pause, and then just let it happen and enjoy while it lasted. 'This feels nice,' he thought as he was being hugged, just smiling to himself.
After a bit and having her fluff meter refill from Kon, she finally just held him in her arms as she finally let him do what he wanted to. "I'm just gonna let you do what you want to. I don't care as long as I'm with you and there's no underground area." And with that, Kon started talking to Iroh.
"Hey Uncle Iroh, what do I have to do to make the Dungeon appear here. I don't want the Dungeon like it was, and how do I get rid of all the monsters. I can change them up with something else. I'm just going to make the Dungeon into a place among the clouds and make some floating Islands deep in this place. I know that there will be many who want to come here so I'm going to make the mountains impossible to get into after we finish so that no one other than me and Junko and whoever we want to be let in. There'll be a path everyone needs to go into to get here, so Godzilla can come and go, figured he might like to come here since he made himself at home in an ancient temple underwater, mine will be just a little more lively than his. Best part about it is that no one can enter unless they go through the passageway."
[Well, all you have to do is think of it really to get what you want. It's your Dungeon, nothing really hard about it other than your imagination. With the monsters in the remains of the Dungeon I can make all the monsters disappear, and in their place beautiful creatures. I can also make it like you wanted. If I'm getting you right you want it almost like the Hallelujah Mountains, where the landmasses float and also at the same time have them connected together via a bridge, and have the aesthetics of Japan, buildings and all since you liked them from the shows and movies you watched in the past. That's what you want right?]
"Yeap, read my mind." Kon said.
['Literally']
And with that, they started to make themselves a home that the two of them can enjoy. Both of them loving the fact that they both can put what they wanted into the process of it.
