A fae child – who was shaped like a small rabbit – jumped up and down excitedly, "Welcome Emily! We're having fun! Look what we got for you! Flowers!" He handed Emily a bouquet of pink roses tied together with a pink ribbon.
She blinked as she accepted the gift. It smelled nice, and its petals felt soft against her skin as she stroked its silky surface. "It's lovely...thank you...?"
"I'm Sevri, by the way!" The boy introduced himself cheerfully.
"Oooooh, Sevri!" A young faery girl with red wings giggled. "I like her! We'll be best friends!"
Sevri laughed heartily while grinning at his new friend, "Me too! We'll play together lots! Come! Come sit! Eat! Eat! This is good! Really good! Soooooo yummy!"
"Alright, alright!" Emily relented, smiling despite herself at their enthusiasm, and let Sevri lead her by hand to one of the chairs, sitting beside him, watching him and the others joyously gobbling down all sorts of food and drinks.
