Chapter 83: Eighty-Third

Emily didn't expect much out of a simple bath - but somehow, it was exactly what she needed. She might have just chosen to take on on a whim to get away from her fae for a bit, but it surprisingly hit the spot for her sore, achey body stiff from sitting down so long.

The warmth of the water soothed her weary muscles, and the scented oils left her skin feeling silky soft and pleasant to touch. It almost made her feel giddy, even.

It wasn't a good substitute for proper sleep, but she had to admit, at the end of the day, a little warm, relaxing soak was still a very welcome stress reliever.

By the time she got out, she felt pretty damn close to a brand new person.

Maybe she ought to take even more of them.

Just every few minutes in the summit she could run back home and take a bath until she didn't feel like committing a violence of some kind.

She could hear someone talking, the voices of Merwyn and Mia coming through the door.
