Chapter 56: CHAPTER 56

　　The volunteer who had been sent to Travis's hometown to gather information about his family had just arrived. She let out an exhausted breath before speaking. "When I arrived at your home, someone told me that no one has been living in your house!" The lady had said as Travis cleared his throat before enunciating.

　　"What about Jessica?" Travis asked his voice almost barely a whisper.

　　"They said that she had left the country to go abroad and according to the woman I asked. She had been working there and nobody knows where she works there," The woman said softly with a small sigh escaping her lips.

　　"But Jessica would never leave our kids behind!" Travis said with confidence.

　　"Well, according to the woman I talked to! Your wife left the kids in the care of one Emerald but things took a wrong turn when she met with an accident and passed away!" The lady told Travis whose eyes clustered with tears before he ran his hands into his hair in frustration and shock.
