( Haru Pov )
It's been weeks since Haruto lost his hearing.
Emi had taken care of him ever since.
" Haru." Gramps called me from his couch.
" Hm?" I answered.
" How's school?" He asked.
" It's fine. It's still the same." I replied.
He nodded.
It became silent as I continued eating my cereal.
" Sigh. Haru, you've been quite ever since your band has been disbanded. Have you tried some other hobby?" Gramps asked.
" Another hobby? Like what?" I asked.
Gramps shrugged.
" Don't know. Maybe acting." He replied.
" Acting?"
" You liked being in front of an audience, don't you? Why not try it?"
" I don't like the attention. It was the music. And now. It's different without them." I replied.
" Sigh, well...."
I closed the door on Gramps as I sat on my desk, wondering what I should do next.
' Maybe... I could find a potion to heal his hearing.' I thought as I needed to find a dungoen that could drop a high-grade healing potion.
' But first...' I looked at the wcienxe fair that would award someone a ticket to I-island.
' David shield... maybe I could use him to create a connection.' I thought before seeing a panel.
[ Ding! Place first in the science fair! ]
[ Rewards: ???,??? ]
I have an idea... but I need some equipment and some materials.
" Maybe that bunny would have some." I muttered as I had to find another dungeon.
Two weeks later, I'm on an airplane with gramps as we landed on I-Island.
( David Shield Pov )
" I'm sorry, what?" I asked again as I looked at the phone.
" Sigh, my son... is arriving in I-Island today, and I hoped I could spend some time with him." All Might said as I held my head.
" Okay... so you have a son." I repeated which All might agree.
" And you... didn't tell me?"
" It's complicated..."
" I know. I would've done the same if I was in your place. But I canr believe you have a son. I'll make sure to take care of him."
" Thank you."
" Don't mention it." I replied as All might hanged up.
" Ah.... I forgot to ask who his son is." I muttered.
( Haru Pov )
" Hello, are you here to participate in contest?" A woman walked up to us with a clipboard.
" Yes." I nodded, which caused the lady to smile.
" Well, then. If you would please follow me. I'll be your guide." Gramps and I followed her as she gave us a tour around the I-Island until we arrived at our hotel.
" I'm interested in the other participants' inventions. I also have to set up mine as well." I said to gramps who nodded.
" Well, I'll be here. I am eating as much food as I want." Gramps smiled as he waited for his food to arrive.
I sighed and shook my head before leaving the room. I took my suitcase and walked toward the competition site in a huge building.
From there, I managed to put my invention on display and a number when they showcased the invention. I saw many displays of suits that were inspired for heroes.
My goal here today is to get into the I-Island's academy to improve my creating ability and train in a better environment.
I found a table with my number on it and opened my suitcase to reveal a type of cloth with a metal texture. It was flexible and could repair itself. The repair thing would o lying take mana, but I managed to change it with energy.
The cloth would use the kinetic energy and store it to repair itself.
' Luckily, that rabbit had something like this.' I thought to myself as i remembered buying the bluebrint from the rabbit.
I think it was called "shock something...".
This suit wasn't revolutionary or some great thing for the world, but it was a great invention from the material I had and built. And from the other point of view, I would just be labeled a talented kid for building such a thing.
" Hello there." I looked behind to see a man with glasses, I immediately recognized him as David Shield. I blinked my eyes for a bit before introducing myself.
" Hello, I'm Haru." I said as I saw him observing my invention.
" Is this your project?" He asked with a smile.
" Uh... yes, this is Reactive Resilience Frabic or RRF in short." In some kind of miracle, I managed to remember the clothes name.
" It absorbs shock and has self repairing properties as it uses the energy from the shock which expands the weaves and linens back to its original form like a memory." I explained as I tried my best to impress the man.
David rubbed his chin in thought as I stood by and waited before he stopped his Trainor. I thought.
" Oh! I'm sorry I zoned out." He smiled embarrassed while rubbing his head before speaking.
" This is an amazing idea, and your name is Haru, correct?"
I nodded.
" Then Haru, if you really wish to improve, I would like to recruit you into the Academy. How about that?" He smiled.
I stood in shock, wondering if all those points on luck were finally paying off.
" Yes, sir!" I exclaimed.
The Acedemy on I-Island has many benefits for young inventors, and I was hoping to use them to create a few stuff for myself and create a few things for them in return.
And if I could really prove myself, maybe I could be able to be a student learning under David Shield. And not to mention the studies of quirks and the training room for quirks thay they use for heroes so they could find and build gadgets for them.
I watched as David walked away, but I noticed he wasn't looking at other participants' projects but instead walked out of the room.
' I see... it seems he knows I'm all might, son...' I felt a little disappointed as I wanted to acknowledge by my skills and intelligence alone as a person and not as All might son.
' Maybe I made a mistake...' The thoight crossed my mind before throwing it away.
' Whatever, I'll just study and improve my quirk here as much as I could before he started the story.
